Ordered one of these from Gearbest in November, it still hasn't got here. Paypal claim is in. I have ordered in the past with no problems but im afraid this time it hasn't worked out.

You could always contact their customer service, they always try to solve the problem.
A friend of mine bought 1 Xiaomi Phone and the first one took so long to arrive that they sent another one. He ended up getting 2 devices.

Interesting. How does this compare to a similar spec Garmin?

I did try that and had no joy, up until 60 days they just said wait. Once it went past 60 days they just didn't answer my ticket posts.

That's unusual of them. I had a few issues with items I've purchased and it was dealt with less than 60 days. The sent a replacement and the replacement didn't arrive. They quickly offered me a refund

1st order came through few months ago. My 2nd order is yet to be shipped. Its been a week now. I have a negative vibe this time. They didnt reply my online chat service too. This will be my last no matter what, from these sites. Pay bit more on amazon or ebay uk and feel safe. Will wait few more days and ask paypal to help. I m Goona Stay away from my experiences. Last time aliexpress supported their seller after even giving them proof item didnt match my tv board. And i was left with useless board and without money.

It’s normal as Dec and Jan is busy time for logistic, in addition Feb is a Chinese New Year holiday which you will expect 15 days holiday as well as another month of slow logistic. I don’t normally buy from gearbest as their product is slightly overprice. I normally buy from taobao and pick my own logistics. That’s why I know about the logistic thing.

Same, got refunded this month. Lost £5 because of change in exchange rate
Had 10 good experiences with GB but my last one was bad and put me off ever buying from them again. Good watch though
have one, got it for around 65 via email offer so can go lower. good watch.at the price though. links to strava and in turn running heroes, good gps and bluetooth links well with headphone from gearbest also .
These comments are worrying. Bought the Bip last week but still "processing".

You can get the v2 of this called stratos and that is almost comparable with the top of the range garmin. ( analyis in the app uses the same company as Garmin, also mutisport - v1 cant be used for swimming ) £110 from aliexpress ( change the rom yourself to english) or £140 for the global version which ships when it comes out at the end of the month.

I am waiting for a refund from geekbuying ( so avoid them - waited over a week ( it wasnt pre-order) and paypal have sat on it too raised the ticket over a week ago.) Bought form gerabest and aliexpress before without event.

I’d be very impressed and surprised if it was comparable to a top of the range garmin, but for the price it sounds good once they do an english version. Would rather be able to purchase from a UK seller though

Its got 8 of the measures, Fenix 5 has 12. I think its a fair approximation if you don't want to pay the premium for a Garmin and don't need the full feature set. Unfortunately none of the online reviews cover the sport side very well ( amazing as its a sports watch).
I do a lot of MTB and falling off, I think I could cope with a £120 hit maybe not a £450 one though.

Any advantage to global version?

Would be interesting to see what sports it covers and in what detail. I have the Fenix 5 and was trying to decide for weeks if I wanted to spend that much. As well as those measures it has a ton of sports, livetracking, 10 day battery, custom courses, navigation etc. Hopefully somebody will do a proper review at some point to compare properly. Im really glad I bought the Fenix, but at £300+ less I can see the appeal of one of these

You don't have to unlock the bootloder and flash the ROM. So I doubt alipay will work unless you are able to flash the global ROM and relock the bootloader. As the global isn't out yet nobody knows.
Ive been looking at this watch for a while now, looks really good, I want to upgrade from my Mii Band 2, I like the idea of the notifications and not having to reach for the phone to check every message or alert.

Im just wondering if anyone who has this can comment on its IP67 rating ??????? I wear the Mii Band 2 when i go swimming and have worn it in the ocean on holiday etc and its been fine and seems to be fully water proof. The Mii Band 2 is also certified IP87.

Most reviews I have read about the pace say not suitable for swimming, so I just wanted to know if anyone has it , has it been worn when swimming, will it be as water proof as my Mii Band 2 ?????????????
p.s - does anyone know where i can order the other official strap ? Would like both the Orange and Black straps ???????????

i ordered the black straps from GB too and the tempered glass screen protectors. i knocked my watch recently in the gym on some metal, and the screen shattered... or so i thought... the screen protector took all the brunt and the watch face is still flawless. just ordered a couple more twinpacks (about £1.50 each twin pack), which i would also say is a must.

Love my watch. not been brave enough yet to fully water resist in it. i have showered in it and had it on with washing up etc... and the sweat proof aspect of the material is brilliant too... :-) failry regular updates to the firmware too to fix an bugs or so. i would highly reccomend it.
Probably asking a bit much, but if only it had a sim card slot for emergency call use then it would be a perfect running watch.

A reasonably priced watch that isn't too big, does GPS (+Strava uploading), music via Bluetooth headphones, and can make a quick emergency call home, would be worth the upgrade from a basic GPS watch.

I'm sure it exists somewhere, not really spent time looking though!

I dont think its waterproof so I wouldn't chance it, you might just have been lucky with the miband.

Ok got my refund from geekbuying and bought the english version from the "official" store - £111 Amazfit 2 (aka Stratos).
Should take 4 weeks to come.
I will post back what my finds are if you want to let me know what you want me to check then I will post that too.
My firnd has a garmin fenix 5 and I will get him to compare and give his opinion,
For me what I was after was:
play music on a run
swim
bike ( and last a day MTB. so wooded rather than road, although I will do some road tests)
hrm (both on the watch and external)
comparisons with previous run/rides whilst doing it ( nice to have sound feedback but visual is OK)
music - bluetooth
some feedback about being in "the zone"
strava support
some analysis - nice to have

Yeah madness that the Fenix doesn’t have music storage. Its a big minus. Apart from the obvious, the things I use on the Fenix that this might not have are, livetracking so friends and family can follow me on a run and if I go somewhere remote its safer, golf, strength workouts that count reps and detect what you are doing based on the movement, create individual workouts (ie set distance and pace targets and watch keeps you updated throught run), uploading courses and navigation.

But theres a massive price difference so i’d be interested to hear your thoughts. My wife is looking for a watch, but doesn’t want to spend so much.
How does this compare to the TomTom spark deal?

I have this watch and it is definitely not suitable for swimming. Quite a few people have broken their watches that way. It is a brilliant watch though.
