I'd be tempted to get one of these but we've just bought a couple of electric mountain bikes, great fun 😁
People might have to get insurance for these after they discuss in the parliament. Insurance companies will be laughing

Well yes I can see the point there, but most people don't need them!

I'm surprised Amazon haven't developed one themselves. Perhaps they're missing an opportunity.
12.5 kg? These are pretty heavy. A decent hybrid is lighter that this. A Brompton even lighter.

No not these. Hover boards are as they are not easy to control. This has brakes and steering.

Are you looking for a reason not to get one?

Yes, are illegal, don't get one!

Laptop direct don’t appear on official stockist list? So will xiaomi deal with product recall if needed?

Purescooters are £398 minus £60 (offer at moment) and they are official stockists. Plus they offer 2 year warrant.

And no I don’t work for them.

Limited mobility and a scooter with tiny wheels aren't a great match. Good luck with not falling off.
Was driving today and a guy on 1 of these nearly got run over by the guy behind me then almost hit the back of a van. He was using on the rd like bicycle. People need to start wearing helmets as standard.

I bought the M365 from laptops direct about two months ago and my scooter is part of the batch that's been recalled for the issue with the locking mechanism and Xiaomi are dealing with it all very well.

In the case of a normal fault, the scooter would have to go back to laptops direct themselves. Hope that helps

Halfords replaced my one swiftly (can't fault them) but the replacement had plastic mudguards and front fork - very flimsy in comparison the the aluminium on the one I had handed in. They gave a refund but am interested if others have had this experience? Check your recall replacements if you've had one.

Well that answers it.
Oddly it's just gone up in price, but only by £2, so nothing too painful

Incorrect they are illegal in UK. There are three stated cases from uk law. The being in 2011. They are classed as a motor vehicle which means you would need a driving licence, insurance etc plus it would have to be road worthy and have an MOT. Which it hasn't.

Don't worry. You will only get done if you ride past a police station, a McDonalds or a Sainsbury's. Only place I see the police these days. True say.

Very sad, of course, but will be interesting to see how it is dealt with legally. If the woman has children, will they get insurance etc (?)

Cut my commute from an hour of walking to 20 minutes. That's what happened.
