Cheapest it's ever been as far as I'm aware. Price is estimated as site uses dollars, but average rate checked via the google.

To get the coupon, you'll need to be registered and click the $6 coupon below the price on the product screen. In checkout, be sure to select 'use a coupon' and check the box next to the $6 over $65 coupon that should now appear.

Note this is listed as a Chinese version with Chinese firmware, but it does state English as a language option, so you may need to do a bit of research on changing the language.

MIUI 9 global ROM should be out by December according to their forum: en.miui.com/thr…tml

I was interested in getting this but not sure after reading on product page where it states the following in red

"if you want to use it ,you should find a way you can change the phone to the version into global. NOTE: It's chinese version with chinese firmware. it's cheap ,but you should try a way to use it"

Does anyone know if its easy and how to change to english ? thanks

Doesn't look like the global version with band 20 support

When you first switch the phone on you can choose the language English, Simplied Chinese or Mandarin

Not a global version so lacking proper 4G support, the global 2GB/32GB version has been as low as £60 today from Gearbest and is a much better deal.

Also it's a Redmi 4A, there's not such thing as a Mi 4A, and the Mi range are high end, this is a budget Redmi model.

Wouldn't buy another phone from them - Got the Mi 1A - after a long wait from banggood (a lot longer than estimated) - and after the very first time I used headphones with them I couldn't hear voice calls properly (like someone was in the distance) - now they have asked me to post it back, only using certain methods of postage, and I have to cross my fingers and hope I eventually get my money back. Definitely not worth the risk!

It is very easy if you know your way around computer. If you are not complete n00b then it might be hard.

I haven't tried this particular phone but Xiaomi phones have impressed me hugely the past few years. They are amazingly good for their price. They are either incredibly good at exploiting their Chinese workers or the likes of Samsung expect way too much profit margin. Possibly both.

As far as I am aware they don't directly manufacture themselves, they use OEM companies like Foxcon (who make the iPhone for Apple I believe). Im veering towards your Samsung theory...

Foxconn's major factories are in China though. Notorious for it's worker abuses in the past!

I know. But the spotlight has been firmly cast on them since the suicide scandal so I would hope exploitation of workers would be hard to hide these days.

Don't forget Apple use them and one couldn't realistically claim their smartphones were cheap!
