Very good price, very good phone. Am using one to type this. Thought I'd be more impressed than I am though...
The Redmi series is such amazing value it almost makes proper flagships at proper flagship prices seem less impressive.
£360 with gearbest, no thanks you are buying a phone with no warranty at all and then theirs weeks for delivery and the risk on import tax. Spending £100 with them is risky as hell ive had stuff go wrong and its a dead lose, you have to send it back at cost to yourself then hope its repaired and that you get it back.

Just sh^t up and buy the OP5 for £550, ok? You always import Xiaomi and they're always half the price of the closest competition, so thumbs up for the great phone!
Great phone. - great technology without the iPhone price tag. Infact iPhone without the iPhone price tag.

My Xiaomi Mi Max is the best phone I've ever had.
Does this have band 20 support?

That's not really comparable at all. The Snapdragon 835 in this Xiaomi Mi6 is also used in the Oneplus 5, HTC U11 and Samsung S8/S8+ which are amongst the top benchmarked phones<< currently available. The Snapdragon 653 in the C9 Pro, on the other hand has an Antutu score that's less than half that of Snapdragon 835 phones.

If your logic is that higher MP makes the camera a "more advance feature" then C9 Pro, a mid-range Samsung phone would have better rear/front cameras than their flagship S8 which uses 12MP/8MP. The top 5 phones rated by DxOMark image quality<< all use 12MP rear cameras. There's many other factors than just MP value. Optical image stabilisation for example; something the Mi6 and S8 both have but the C9 Pro lacks.

Each to their own but personally I see things the same way, this is a lot of money to spend on a phone that has no UK warranty. Yes its a beast of a phone, spec wise.
It's a shame that they're not selling them direct in the UK as they'd fly off the shelf, but that's a long, long way off ever happening - I'm in India at the mo and they only released the Redmi Note 4 a couple of months ago here, it's been out in China for an age! So imagine the delay for a tiny market like the UK?

The China Redmi Note 4 that's been out for an age isn't the same. Original China RN4 is Mediatek. Xiaomi are prohibited from selling Mediatek phones in India due to legal issues. Indian RN4 is Snapdragon and is like a 2017 Mk2 version. It is known in China as Redmi Note 4X but India actually got their RN4 first before China got it themselves as RN4X. Neither of their versions have B20. However it was released around the same time in Singapore/Indonesia/Malaysia as "Redmi Note 4 Global Version" with B20. Also in Hong Kong and Taiwan market it is also "Redmi Note 4X" like China except theirs has B20 like Global Version, therefore a separate release, so I doubt size of market is really a factor when it comes to Xiaomi's sporadic releases.

if you regularly change phones every year, or every other year, the tech advances are not that great you really need to leave a couple of generations between phones to 'be impressed'
Can anyone suggest a reasonable timeframe for when these might go on sale around £250? The previous generation are below £200 now. I know it's a guessing game, but I'm not currently in the market for a new phone.
looking for something like this, but with full uk network support...
