You won't find a better phone and spec for this price! Heat!!!
Not voting either way. First link has a 20-30 day shipping method.
Second one looks like a better deal to me but its only the 4Gb Ram model. Okay if that is what you want.

Rooting both of these is essential to flash an English rom. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone not technical. Great phone though I have the 6Gb model. A huge upgrade from my nexus 5.
good price, but 4gb is a bit........

Rooting won't help you flash a global rom.
I find the camera is good enough. Not amazing in low light shots and it has a much longer focus range? compared to others. It won't focus on an object unless you are fairly far away from it.
Had issues taking pictures of documents etc.
Not a huge downside though for the price its amazing. Once I get a better job I might try out something with a better camera or dabble with actual cameras.
Having no band 20 isn't end of the world here, you can still get 3g on all networks

Could be worth trying a different camera app
Oh for people worried about the bands I am on Vodafone and I am able to get 50Mb down in certain 4G areas.
I want to say 2100Mhz but don't quote me on that.

As someone who uses on average 1Gb of data a month that wasn't a huge issue. I go on reddit a lot which is text based.

If you don't mind dabbling a bit then try getting the Google Camera app installed -- it should make a big difference, especially with low light shots.

    Cannot say for others

Price is good but company is not trustworthy ..hassle of long wait plus no warranty or easy return and add risk of paying custom on top of it is all turn off

I had the same problem with a Mi 5S, it was the sensor jamming. I found that if you gave the phone a hard shake it would "reset" and focus properly up close for a short time. In the end I took the back cover off and adjusted the rubber gasket around the camera, put it back together and it worked way better
It’s getting hot in here...so take off all your clo...

Peach of a deal that is. MIMUI is feature packed and with these specs runs smooth AF. Is an iPhone X really worth 5 times the price...I’m typing on said phone and have to say no.

The camera is decent, it's not amazing but it's decent.

Most flagships have OIS. The Mi6 also has pretty garbage audio recording which impacts video.

    In YOUR opinion!
This is obviously subjective however given '' s24rrt'' sample pic I think any reasonable person would say it's a 'fairly' decent camera capable of taking half decent photos. WTF do you expect for £200 ??
I have this phone - paid about £290 about 5 months ago (?). This is a cracking price. You can use the phone without touching the OS no bother. It's been recently updated to Android 8.0 Oreo. If you don't like MIUI just use Nova launcher.
    Android Pay works fine.
    Camera is decent.
Battery lasts all day without issue.
    It never slows down.

I have recently rooted and installed a custom ROM (Pixel Experience) which works great as well. One of the reasons why I chose to root was to install the Google Camera which really does improve the camera experience.

I followed this YouTube guide to root the phone. It was pretty straight foward to be honest.

The Nokia camera app will work on this, no root required. I've installed it on my Mi A1 and it's made a massive difference.

I own a Mi6 and the camera is above average. Maybe not as good as Samsung's but is very good. If you don't own a mi6 please stop putting people off, as you don't have any knowledge of what the camera is like.

    Quite helpful, thanks.
I have the 5s and it is lighting fast and has no issues. I have just bought 2 of these as its almost flagship specs and will receive ota support for at least another 2 year. Also I had a small scratch on my screen from a drop and got refunded $100 to NOT send it back to them.Still working like a dream and has the same camera as the Google pixel although it is over a year old now.

I have owned a mi6 and I sold it as the camera is terrible. It's definitely not above average for a 2017 phone. Five years ago it would have been above average but by today's standards it's poor. In good light it's OK, but all cameras are. Indoors or in low light it is shockingly bad.

Thanks for the link. I'm on the stable rom, and it's a bit buggy - what's the weekly rom like? stable, bugs?
