MS WILL be back
Tempting but still holding off for a 5G mid-ranger. Figuring they'll be everywhere in 3 month's time.
Right after I bought Mi Mix 2S.... Can't be bothered to setup another phone. I'll hold on to this till year's end.
Arrrgh, do I swap my Mi Mix 2S to this? Would it be an upgrade, or do I hold on for another year (my usual upgrade cycle)?
Can anyone comment on the 3k battery? Does it last all day?

Looking at the direct comparison between the two (I've got a Mi Mix 2S too), I wouldn't change. You'd lose wireless charging, some battery capacity and gain apt-x on the BT, and IR face unlock/inscreen fingerprint scanner.
How is camera quality on a Xiaomi. Really want a new phone (I have a Nokia 6.1 which camera is not really as good as I first thought and the battery life is quite bad now). Really want to buy an iPhone but just justify spending so much on a phone. I really want a good camera, decent speed/storage and is smooth to use even after 1-2 years. Any suggestions. They are completely different but I think my main want is a good camera and something that can withstand intense use. Want the iPhone because good camera (and trendy, would not be the odd one out in uni next year with an android) but Xiaomi has the better price and decent specs. What would you guys say?

Would you say that this is a better phone than the P30? I don't know is the notch on this would drive me mad.

No, definitely not, the p30 is better than this, doesn't make this a bad phone mind you.

Thank you. I'm a big fan of Xiaomi phones and I'd rather buy something without going down the O2 refresh line but it just seems like a very good phone to pass up. I hesitated on the mate 20 pro, p30 pro and the galaxy s9 and regretted them all.

Hmm. The p30 pro may be reduced again at some point.
Nearly went for it as a stop gap phone but....

3000mah battery. Meh.

Shocking considering the size of the phone.

Battery life is awful, had this phone for couple of weeks and returned it back as 12hrs life is not enough nowadays...also non-usable inscreen fp reader (with 30% mistake ratio)

I have a old Samsung S7, very good camera (i do a lot of yravelling) and it can do everything I need. I'm sure you can pick one up reasonably cheap.

I'd go for a Huawei p30 or a Samsung s9+. Very good cameras on both.
This or Mate 20x, thanks

Not to worried about brand names myself. All I need to know if

1) Good camera compared to say p30 pro? Samsung Note 10?
2) Battery Life?

Poppycock
What the battery life like on this, my son absolutely loves Roblox and I'm a bit concerned of the size of the battery

I'd go for this...
hotukdeals.com/dea…942

Bigger battery (4000mAh)
Bigger screen (6.3")
Decent snapdragon processor and 4GB RAM should be plenty for Roblox. I have similar on my Galaxy A50 which runs Roblox just fine.

It's not as high spec as this phone, but 3000mAh is a little light for heavy users

Cheers BH, I would have been all over this, but they don't deliver to my postcode. They can ship the stock all the way from China to the UK, but can't deliver to North Wales
Its waiting game hope P30 or Note 10+ will come down

S9 sucks mate. Awful battery life and decent performance but not worth the money. Only good part is the camera and screen for me.

If I were you I'd either pick up a Mi 9, or if your budget will allow, wait for the Mi 10.
Can any of you fans of this tell me how this model or any other xiaomi (or Android) currently compares to the NEW, EXCLUSIVE, running out of superlatives iPhone 11 PRO ?

And I don’t just mean by price,

And I’m genuinely asking incase you think I’m takin the proverbial

Look forward to your response(s)

Yours truly,
3,000 mAh though...
MrSwitch21/01/2020 13:22

This isn't the first time

That's what he said!
Keep on trucking mate you have a 99.99% success rate!
Forgetting the huge price difference, this comparison between the iphone 11 and Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro is an good example of why many of us are happy to purchase these Xiaomi phones
