Both good phones for their respective prices. Mi 9T has the advantage in all areas: amoled screen instead of LCD, 0.4" bigger screen yet slightly smaller phone due to less bezels. 50% faster CPU, 50% more RAM, better design, better build, entertaining pop up selfie cam if you're easily amused. Bigger battery, significantly longer battery life. You pays your money you takes your choice!

Oh and much better main camera on the 9T. Basically the A2 is a budget phone or last year's mid ranger. The 9T is this year's flagship but with a mid range CPU.

What phone would you recommend with 128gb Mr a switch budget is £200
MrSwitch, I've a choice of 3 mobiles for £250, pre owned but fantastic condition. Samsung A80, Samsung S9+ and the one plus 7. What should I choose lol.

Oneplus 7 I'd choose personally.

In a dual Sim phone can you use one Sim for data and the other for calls\txts? Bare in mind iuse WhatsApp to message so I don’t know how the two sims would work together as watsapp uses data but is connected to your phone number

It uses the mobile number to authorise the account my sending SMS to that number. Data can be from that SIM, another SIM, or WiFi. Switch off mobile data and just use WiFi, and WhatsApp will still work.

I have two WhatsApp accounts, one personal and one work on one dual SIM phone. The work SIM is the main data connection, unless I'm on WiFi. Both accounts work in either situation.

Yes you can, on the 9T you can set a default SIM for calls and a default SIM for data, it will switch to the opposite SIM if the primary choice is unavailable.

You can also set a default SIM for individual people in Contacts for calling off of... I use the second SIM on my 9T Pro for work so I've set work contacts to call off that one. But you can switch SIM at any time during dialing.

OP7T isn't really comparable to this, the Mi 9t pro is a closer match to the OP7T, very litle in it but i prefer the notchless screen on the Mi 9T Pro
Need a phone replacement but can't wait ordering from China so options are Mi9 at 279 with Xiaomi uk store or this deal of mi9t at 265? I'm torn over which one. Any opinions appreciated!

Camera better in the mi9 along with processor if you need that extra grunt, battery on this can last up to two days with light usage, mi 9 battery poor, I'd always choose the superior processor personally, and just deal with battery life, tbh the mi 9 charges that quick that battery life becomes a non issue.

The battery was exactly my biggest doubt on the mi9 but you've now removed that concern. And you've reminded me that the camera is also better. Thanks phone guru Switchy
I am honestly biting my hands right now to stop myself buying the Mi 9 or Pro, waiting for the Mi 10 but great phone at an insane price.

Coming from someone who was die-hard Xiaomi, tried Samsung and hated it/blew a bunch of cash for nothing, viva the smartphone revolution!
