Good price for a high spec phone, heat added. Seems like Xiaomi may now be confirming these phones from eGlobal are covered by the 2 year UK warranty. Good to hear from more people who have bought from eGlobal wether Xiaomi have confirmed there warranty tho.

Yes i thought this was a cracking price too for the spec
Yep their prices just keep dropping, generally because they are constantly announcing/launching and bringing out newer models.
Still waiting for mine to be dispatched.

How many days has it been? They typically take 7-10 days

If this had a proper USB-C spec port, then I'd have been all over this. Not being able to connect via HDMI is a real limitation for me (especially with the new Android desktop mode coming out)

Great phone though if you don't mind that limitation (or the lack of SD slot)

How can you check about the warranty? Would this be the same for Gearbest potentially?

Gearbest do not offer that
Has anyone bought a handset from eGlobal recently? Is customs/tax charges pretty much a given? Was hoping to get the Blue version of this and £100+ off the UK price is seriously tempting.

The Red version isn't available here, does anyone know if there are any hardware differences compared to the UK models?

Thanks in advance!

Same, no issues. Just make sure you pay with either paypal or credit card
The 2 year warranty sounds too good to be true and likely impossible to verify until it's too late.

I never had a custom charge either on my same phone from this supplier. (note just got my first ever on an aliexpress order electric toothbrushes for my kids £35 order royal mail charged me £8 admin) have ordered many things from China laptop, robot hover, 9 phones all normally around £150-200 so was a bit annoyed. I would take the risk.

There are no customs charges because although eGlobal are based in Hong Kong, and that's where most of, or possibly all their stock comes from, their warehouse that they dispatch from is actually in Europe.

The warranty issue has come about because I have checked 3 times with Xiaomi UK and each time they told me eGlobal's stock is from Hong Kong so it's a grey import which they don't cover. I also emailed eGlobal several times to try and clarify their claims of the 2 years warranty. At best their responses might as well of been written in Chinese, as what they said was worse than useless. In a nutshell their customer service is lacking to say the least.

That being said hukd user cbates60 kindly confirmed that they bought from eGlobal and emailed Xiaomi UK including their IMEI number, who told them that the their Xiaomi phone was covered by their 2 year warranty advising 'Upon checking here that the phone Cross border warranty capability, As long as it would be activated here in UK this phone will be covered here in United Kingdom "

It would obviously be useful if more hukd members who buy from eGlobal could also check and report back to us.

It's £309 now the prices vary many times a day, when I ordered it was actually £315.99 but I had a code that took it down to £303 but then later in the day it actually went to £303 so f d ordered with the code then it would have been even cheaper!

Oppo Reno Ace has an SD slot and 855+ processor.
Asus Zenfone 6 has an 855 + a micro SD.

So frustrating when manufacturers like Xiaomi omit such things on flagships - but do provide them on more basic models.

Here is an independent archive of the EGC product page that states UK-based 2-years warranty: web.archive.org/web…tml. Pay for this item directly by credit card and you will 100% have access to that specific warranty if the product page still states same at time of order placement, even if EGC and/or Xiaomi subsequently state you don't. If not, you are entitled to UK-sourced refund if / when it is suggested that that specific warranty does not apply; no need to communicate with EGC. End of.

My mate has this phone, looks awesome.

I have a OnePlus5, old but excellent specs. I missed out on the Mate 20 Pro deals, so wondering should I or should I not go for this?
