FAKE AMAZON!
It’s a marketplace seller that somehow managed to name themselves “Amazon”. This deal should be expired ASAP and orders cancelled as this is definitely going to turn out problematic.

Not really.
I'm pretty sure Amazon wouldn't just let someone use their name and Business details. I emailed them a few months ago about the exact same seller and their response was...

My question...

Thank you for bringing to our attention a potential case of seller fraud on our website.

I have reviewed the seller in question and can confirm that this seller is indeed selling on behalf of Amazon as a company. This seller profile is used for specific fulfilment centres to ensure that our deliveries can be provided in areas where our usual services may not be able to deliver.

I can guarantee if you wish to order an item using this service that we will take full responsibility for any issues that arise, as this seller profile is held to the same standards as Amazon as a company.

I hope this has explained the situation. If you have any other queries in relation to this or any other order, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, email or chat.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

If this was 5g I'd be all over it

5G is rather pointless for at least another two years. The rollout has been slow and you are likely to never get promised throughput.

He hee...I posted it as well. Still in moderation.

Must be a good deal!
The picture on the listing does indicate it's the K20 as it has the Redmi logo but the whole listing is plagued with Mi 9t Pro.
Not much difference between the two, just pointing it out!
Out of interest, for us non phone experts, what rating (out of 10) would this score? & where in the market (big name equivalent) would it sit?

8, out of 10 at a guess. I'd say a notch below the s10 but for half the price.

Someone could correct me though if I'm talking rubbish

For me 9/10
amazing spec for the money
As for its rank amongst other flagship phones.....I'd say just below OnePlus 7

I was going to say 7.5 - 8.0 it's essentially got the S10 internals with a exception to the cameras and display. Using a Google Camera port is a must to get the most out of the cameras. I came from an S8+ and very surprised at the value. I can't see myself spending more than this ever again.
Think I may go with the A70 instead. They're both the same price.
Tough decision as they're sorta made to directly compete with each other!

Better build better processor by a long way better camera and better fingerprint scanner. A70 is nice mind, but given choice id have this all day long
Cheers, purchased, that’ll go in my lads Xmas box.

I liked the A70 but the form Factor was huge for me. I'd take the K20 Pro over it for processor alone..I had the K20 previously and battery like was fantastic plus great screen.. No complaints from me.. .Excellent value for money

Thanks for the post OP. I am considering this phone. Been tempted to pull the trigger for a while now. Love that it's from Amazon and it's the colour that I want. I am just curious if it's better to get the one in this thread or the one that was posted a few hours ago.

The one in this link is just over £200 but is from Ale Express, not the pro version, not from Amazon, has less memory, and likely the Amazon one has no issues with warranty or returns. Maybe I answered my question myself, lol. It seams kinda obvious to go for this one from Amazon but would LOVE to hear your thoughts. Gonna to commit to one of them today!

Damn .... I was close to biting after considering a honor 10... I want decent cameras tbh but don’t want to spend £500+

I saw @MrSwitch's post earlier before it got taken down (I assumed because of this) and contacted Amazon about it.

They said that it fulfilled by Amazon themselves but they're not sure about the seller... It could be a marketplace seller trying to fake being Amazon, or it could be Amazon have set themselves up a way to post a a marketplace seller (by mistake?) and they're looking into it.

Either option is odd really, as a marketplace seller shouldn't have been able to choose the name Amazon, and Amazon have no need for a marketplace account themselves.

They're looking into it now apparently so hopefully it's sorted soon.
Thanks for the reports. If you don't click on the marketplace sellers the price is the same from Amazon on the main listing. Go all the way through to checkout and it shows as if it is from Amazon (ie not a marketplace seller).

Interesting. Different response to what I got - the person I spoke to and their manager were both confused and were investigating it. Maybe they already got to the bottom of it and communicated it, or maybe different people have different info.

If it's fake, it certainly took me in.
This a really old account. Look at the dates for feedback. Some of the responses to people's poor reviews refering to Amazon in the third person.

Far too fishy for me. I'll pass.
