We meet again Mrs Witch! Any chance of a similar deal for K20 Pro?

Not yet mate, global hasn't been released yet, unless you mean the Chinese version?
Saw this yesterday morning, was also released on Amazon Italy yesterday, but, this is RRP in €.

That being said, I can't bring myself to pay for that much for a 64GB phone. Annoying they haven't released the 128GB and 256GB models.

Personally will wait for stock to sort itself out then order from global or similar. Not overly fussed with a warranty on such a low cost device.

RRP in Europe means £399 in the UK at a guess, so this is definitely a deal to us in the UK, not so much in the EU, so if anyone from the EU is looking at this deal, I apologise

No, that's not correct and also makes zero sense for either the Mi9 pricing nor the Mi 9 Pro.

£329 6/64 and £369 6/128 is what I've seen on various sites.

Just a guess mate, hadn't really looked into it, I should have ended that comment with,
"take this comment with a pinch of salt"

My apologies
One Plus 7 pro is more appealing to me compare with Mi 9 T ... Yes it's slightly expensive than Mi 9 T but again, you get what you pay for?

Probably agree, but like you say, it's £250 more than this, not comparable really, I wouldn't say anyway.
Nicely priced

Oneplus 7 Pro has an rrp of £699. I was (Well still am I guess) one of oneplus biggest fan, and had every phone from the 3T upgrading every 6 months. However this is the first time I haven't and gone for the Mi 9 'standard'.

I really don't see how the oneplus is has such a huge price tag compared to this. (And the big negative for me on the 7 pro is the curved screen, such a pointless fad)

Agreed, akin to saying a BMW is better than a Ford. But not in any way comparable phones, certainly price-wise. I think Oneplus fanboys are a little worried about Xiaomi. I suspect Oneplus the company are also.

Hey @Mrswitch long time no speak! Not sure if you remember I ordered the Mi Mix 3 from Xiaomi direct and you asked me to let you know how I got on.... Well I didn't ... The phone never showed up.... It's still in Transit... According to the courier! (despatched on 6th)... Xiaomi were fantastic though and got me a full refund this week (had to wait 14 days after despatch to claim non delivery but no issues)... Apparently a lot of people had problems with the courier and they have even changed courier now, very classy company to deal with over phone and email.

Anyway, I plugged for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Argos deal (£99.95) to keep me tied over until I found something closer to a flagship and other than the lack of NFC this thing does everything as good if not better than my old iPhone 8 Plus so I might not bother! The snapdragon 636 flies for what I use my phone for (YouTube, chrome. WhatsApp, HUKD, emails, Steam. PlayStation and xbox apps etc) and the camera isn't TOO much of a step down that it's troublesome. My gf is annoyed with my "I still can't believe this is a hundred pound phone" comments... Battery life is phenomenal too!

Again. Thanks for your help before - even though it didn't work out with the Mi Mix 3 thanks to the courier (Colissimo - 1/5 on trustpilot! ) I'm happy with my Xiaomi... Will consider the EU version of the K20 Pro when it drops but right now, content!
Tempted by this - I know its sold by Amazon but how are people's experience with returns to Amazon Spain?

Jeez, yeah i saw people had issues in that thread, what a nightmare, glad xiaomi are listening though.

Yeah the note 5 is all things to all people in my opinion, so I'm glad you're enjoying it, and you've saved a few quid in the process

But I thought you'd have the Intel! If you don't, who does!?
Does anyone whether the sensors in this are the same as the Mi9 or the Mi9 SE. because both of them had similar camera specs on paper but the Mi9 has better quality sensors, leading to better photos. I am guessing they must have put the same ones, just not sure which ones.

Ah so it's the worst of the lot. Although from what I understand the difference between 586 and 582 is just 4k 60 capture for video so photos should be similar.

Also regarding the wide-screen and telephoto lenses, unless I am misremembering, the difference was not just megapixel count, but also the aperture etc.
Hi Mrswitch, thanks for all the great posts, very much appreciated. Can I get your advice please? Isn't your post for the Mi 9 128 GB global at £318 (now £327) a better option even though its from Gearbest? Couldnt understand why it didnt get much interest/heat.
No pressure - but would you wait for the Mi 9 Pro ?

cheers

I think you'd be happy either way mate tbh, the 730 in this is a brilliant processor, and it depends on if you need more storage, and a warranty?

You'll find quite a few comparison videos on YouTube of K20 (Mi 9T) vs K20 Pro. Very similar photo quality. 582 has worse low light performance apparently.

Mi 9 - f/2.2, Mi 9T/SE - f/2.4. Although it doesn't matter as much for them as their purpose is the telephoto and wide-angle aspect. The brand of the sensor may have more impact. The telephoto of Mi 9SE and Mi 9T is supposedly an Omnivision sensor. Redmi Note 4< had a mix of Sony/Samsung/Omnivision sensors and Omnivision was considered the worst.

Thanks - guess wait a couple of weeks and see what the pricing of the various models look like when the Mi 9 Pro is released.
Reluctant to give up the SD slot so would want the 128GB if none present.

Keep up the Ace work - we all relying on you !!
OK, my fingers hovering on the buy button.
I was just wondering if my Amazon UK prime account would be valid for Spain (or France /Germany)?
I have to say that Amazon customer service is probably the best I've ever come across. Eg. Last year my Wifes Moto G4 Plus started having ghost touch issues. It was 22 months old and had purchased it from Amazon (I have a Prime account). I told them the issue and with 24 hours had refunded me the full amount for the phone. Now that's service.
So, I was wondering if were to get this phone would Amazon Spain still offer the same sort of warranty?

Hmm... Unsure on that, but you csn definitely use your uk log in details.
Fair enough. But it's still Amazon, so its a safe buy and returns should be an issue should it?

Btw, this is the euro model isn't it? With band 20 and standard euro Android rom etc.

Yeah, returns are easy and they reimburse your postage, and yeah standard global with eu plug.
No your Prime is UK specific, though the same account will log you in.

RE camera, there's basically no difference from one sensor to the other. Mi 9(T Pro) 4k 60, EIS doesn't keep us so the video stability is poor.

Benefit I discovered yesterday with the 9T over the Mi 9 is that you can record video using the telephoto (0.6) in FHD or 4k30, the Mi 9 (according to the reviewer) said you couldn't do video on the telephoto on the Mi 9.
Was there some dodgy delivery going down recently when ordering from eu Amazon, not sure if it was posted here or Reddit but sure I read reports of empty boxes and or wrong cheaper models being delivered

From my experience wit amazon.es when returning Moto G6+, they partially reimburse postage, €6.50 back to card.
