Xiaomi Mi A1 64gb in Black £167.33 @ Eu warehouse gearbest

G-w-5 warehouse, £163 + £4 postage

This normally goes for around £150 from China, so an extra few quid to get it sooner from an EU warehouse and avoid the risk of tax.

I applaud rogparki for taking the time to point out the implications of buying from China.
I bought a Mecool K3 Pro from a company called Geekbuying.com, I bought it from a European warehouse and even paid extra to be able to return it to Europe, however I am not only being asked to return it to China for repair but to use a non trackable courier. Repeated attempts to get a European return address go ignored.
It was just under £100 so I am not covered, if it were over £100 I would still not be covered on my credit card because Geekbuying use an intermediary for payment and your credit card only protects you if the financial transaction is done with the company directly.
I am not saying all Chinese companies are the same, I am just giving a real life experience to make you more aware of the pitfalls.
I strongly advise using "fulfilled by Amazon" for Chinese products. Also look on the "Freaktab" forum under customer service for the supplier you are using to get an idea of how they deal with problems.

Still a grey import bought from a Chinese seller , so no manufacturers warranty and pathetic to non existent Customer Service . Best just hope it works out of the box for a year or two
A lot of phone for the price and the camera can be improved a lot if you use the HDR+ and EIS mod on XDA

S75 applies so no different than buying from JL
Nice phone better sound and camera than the note 4 but over all the note 4 wins out due to the battery life

That also applies to Carphone warehouse, good luck having to deal with them!!

But you are right you have limited come back as far as warranty goes. as has been said you should be able to claim from a credit card if over £100 or paypal. The problem comes if there is a fault and you are asked to send it back to China, I'm not sure a card would pay to replace the phone, they would probably tell you to send it to china to be repaired. I bought a Ulefone phone from Banggood and the screen went, they paid for the replacement screen I bought from China.

Another Chinese deal, another rogparki moan.
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it came, tracked, with ups in about 4 days from Germany. So far I’ve been immensely impressed, although as reviewers have noted, pictures taken in low light aren’t great. I’ve previously had Moto G and Moto X phones and this, for me at least, is far superior

Ordered. Xiaomi products are rock solid. I wouldn't be too worried about this breaking on you.

These are details I was given a few months ago for geekbuying returns:

support_aftersale@geekbuying.com

Choose the cheapest regular airmail with tracking number ( NO DHL, NO UPS or other fast shipping, as it's very hard for us to do the clearance in HK custom

Many thanks winchman, but I can't return it there until Geekbuying give me that address, it has taken from January to get them to agree to refund or replace it instead of repairing a faulty from new item and they are still asking me to send it to China. It is support that are doing this and it is really bad when you look at how there are treating other customers just check them out on Freaktab.
When I set the GW5 warehouse it goes to £217? Am I doing something wrong?

They have put the price up!! Next best seems to be GW4 at £175.
Any idea on shipping time from gw4?
Probably about a week.

No Manufacturers? It's Xiaomi

It's very trusted and reliable
They're a big brand
They've worked with Phillips and currently working with Microsoft to make Ai Powered Speakers

I wouldn't really recommend other brands but Xiaomi makes quality products
Edited by: "Norseg" 9th Mar
Does it mean Lower quality that's its made in India? Rather than China? Like mi max did
Ordered...thanks.

How does any of that relate to the phone not coming with a warranty? It doesn't, doh...

and BTW, both Phillips and M$ have sold some very low quality products in their time.
Cold this is on eBay for £150 delivered from France. Also available on eBay from Ireland for £154. Both options avoid possibility of tax.

The Black one from Ireland on eBay doesn't mention Band 20. The ones from France are gold not black that are cheaper, but do at least have band 20. Cheapest black one from France is £172 which is more than this deal was when I posted it.

There is only one version of this phone and it has band 20. The ones I referred to are all gone now so hopefully I helped people save some money and avoid gearbests legendary slow service. If people are interested still 6 black ones available on eBay from Ireland for £157, ignore the guy who claims they not band 20 he's just trying to save face posting a duff deal. Happy shopping!

I believe the seller you are on about is called Changiairport and the phone probably comes from Singapore not Ireland, it will take at best 10 days, and the description does not mention Band 20. Its difficult to trust a seller that says the item location is Ireland whilst at the same time saying UK, but is a registered seller in Singapore, not exactly convincing. There is more than one version of this phone, feel free to look at gsmarena.

Dude give up your deal is duff, just embarrassing trying to justify someone paying £10 + more when the same product is available in EU for less. Good luck with next deal.
HUKD is for us to help other people save money. Your deal does the opposite, I really hope I have saved some people a few quid.

Why don't you post the deal you are on about, you haven't actually said which it is? If its the one I mentioned, It doesn't say it has band 20, it appears to come from a Singapore seller, not Ireland/EU as you are saying. I'm not embarrassed, you are the one stating duff info, as I said there is more than one version of the phone.

I believe its you who needs help with deals, 4 posted in 5 years, I'm fine but thank for your concern, dude.

Its also pretty sad that you have clicked 'like' on your own comment, but there again I can't see anyone else doing it for you...

I sent a message to the Ireland seller called Changiairport, turns out the version they are sellng does NOT have band 20..
So it is NOT the Global version... Be careful what you buy...
Black, 64GB, International Version (with Band 20) is £135 now via eglobal ebay, Gold is £138, Pink £145 - expecting mine sometime today via DPD (8 days to the UK) - you can choose Express Delivery by UPS for an extra fiver, I think (?) hotukdeals.com/dea…342

Black: ebay.co.uk/itm…537

Gold: ebay.co.uk/itm…510

Pink: ebay.co.uk/itm…168

Typically eglobal were relisting multiples of 10 (Black) phones every hour at :10, not sure if that will change this time around - not sure about the Gold or Pink options as I wasn't watching the relisting times for those!

I already said - 8 days to the UK via DPD - the ebay listings imply stock is in France - and others are expecting theirs today who ordered around the same time. ebay Feedback suggests delivery is swift. Also you can upgrade to UPS for a fiver, for even faster delivery (assume you have to message eglobal - not sure).

be rude not to grab one at that price, as it does say specifically it includes band 20, so must be the global version.
