(edit) *BEWARE* I have since read a few poor reviews with purchases from this seller so before ordering check it out for yourself and then decide if you want to take the risk. Still a good price though if its legit!

Just noticed a similar deal go cold so here's your second chance and for 5 pound cheaper than previously posted!

Good price and a great phone. I just ordered one of these when i found that ebay had run out of their limited stock.

Free shipping and price reduced from £200 (saving 39%)

eGlobal ships from Hong Kong to a UK address and then forwards it to you so no tax.

thank Mrswitch nice to see you guy

and sorry if the website eglobal is not totally legit but it seemed fine to me. Ordering process smooth and a few 5 star reviews from verified buyers on there so should be ok.
And cue all the incentivised members - Shall I do it for you ?

"Never had a problem with (insert name of Chinese seller here) , bought dozens of items , always arrived within 7 days , never paid VAT or import taxes , comes with a full manufacturers warranty etc etc "

Really !
Welcome alex have you had a look after you ordered
Great price IF YOU GET smartphone.
I would buy from banggood via TCB twenty quid more, and get one of the few Red ones seen in the UK, nice to be different!

Posted on Mi A1
Oreo 8.0
From Banggood (2 x Mi A1) both tracked fine TCB.

God speed and Good luck!

Um, it's one of them.
I personally would not recommend to friend or relative, or anyone for that matter! ....if that helps your decision.

I read one person who wasn't messed around by them, in the dim and distant past!

The balanced comment that you are consistently searching for would be:
consider paying this merchant directly by UK credit card to benefit from UK-serviced replicated merchant obligations covering delivery, no additional import fees and 12m merchant warranty via S75 protection. Or alternatively pay via PayPal for lessser 180days of whatever protection Paypal decide to enforce depending what mood they are in. Or just pay more to attempt to source directly from UK (assuming available from UK), if possible paying the UK merchant directly by credit card to benefit from UK-serviced replicated merchant obligations via S75 protection.

Heated for the honest description. The seller is legit, it's just that they have poor customer service.

Be careful if you want to fall back on this for non-UK entities. I wanted to get Amex involved for a RayBan's bought online from a HK-based seller. They told me that although purchase with £100+ but they do not get involved in a dispute with a company which does not have an office in the UK. Fortunately, the dispute resolved without any involvement from Amex.

Although I did seek legal advice fi Amex were right in backing out, I was told that they were.

So.....just be careful when buying from overseas.

For future ref: do not be deterred by attempted distractions. Fortunately the legislation is very succinct and clear, to the extent that even a casual reader can reasonably see there are no literal or veiled exclusions for "a company that does not have an office in the UK" and certainly if that was the sole excuse cited by a UK credit card co not to satisfy the original merchant's terms then it is highly likely that the credit card co would expose itself to redress from S75 arbitrator The Financial Ombudsman Service

Absolutely class phone. Only slight issue with it is that it's not the most natural to hold due to being slim and wide. However once I got a case on its spot on. Truly awesome phone with all the advantages of stock android. I also bought from eGlobal. Far from perfect but it arrived in perfect condition even if it took slightly longer than I expected and their communication is atrocious.
Better off buying via the sellers eBay store, that way you're offered eBay/PayPal protection along with quicker delivery and no import fees.

When purchasing direct from the EGC website, the buyer does not pay any additional import / customs fees as they are sorted by EGC prior to the handset being delivered, EGC is one of the few foreign suppliers with this arrangement. Direct payment to merchant by credit card to qualify for S75 protection offers UK-enforceable and longer protection than any Paypal protection. This applies to any merchant, not just EGC. If you prefer lesser protection via Paypal your choice is respected.
Personally I'd pay the extra £10-20 and buy through Aliexpress but thats because I've never used eglobal and they seem to have a bad rep on HUKD. That could all be exaggerated though, this place is a bit of an echo-chamber.

We could just as easily say "and cue rogparki to come in here and have a moan about Chinese sellers - shall I do it for you?" etc...

Doesn't matter how many times AndyRoyd and others give you information on how to stay protected, or members post their positive experiences with Chinese sellers/products... To you it's all just some big conspiracy where we're all being paid off to advertise... Of course!

You must actively seek out these deals (keyword feed?) or click every single deal on the site just to whinge... Day after day after day...

I bought an IPad from EGC during Christmas period. Delivered within 7 days without any problems.
Welcome, Alex. I bought the gold version from eglobal last month and I was hesitant like crazy. It was the quick delivery that had me pull the trigger. I'll copy and paste what I wrote when I received the phone.

"Ordered from eglobal last week. Arrived today via UPS (I chose the standard delivery, not insured). Heavily wrapped in bubble wrap. The box itself wasn't wrapped in any sort of shrink wrap which I assume is normal but I'm not too sure. After opening the box the first thing you'll see is the phone and it's awesome. UK plug was also included and that's it really. I'm usually put off by bad reviews and I've never ordered anything from eGlobal before this but I took a chance and it turned out alright, no issues at all."

Hopefully this will ease the minds of anyone who isn't 100% sure yet. The Mi A1 is fantastic and if you know your way around a phone you can install the amazing Google camera without rooting to boost the camera performance.

Thanks to those providing good feedback. Certainly easing my mind after buying from their eBay store.

Guy? Mrs witch! It's a woman.
Mi A1 sensational device, hope Xiaomi bring out a 2nd gen, I'll stay loyal.

If they don't bring out 2nd gen then Nokia 7 plus is on my radar, as a backup.

If it's a 'get 5 'A's in GCSE, 2/2 or better etc insentive. I'd offer the Nokia.
