Yeah! it covers all networks and price is shockingly low!! it's just amazing lol. I have an iPhone 8 but i always need an android phone at home as sometimes i get bored of my stupid iPhone haha. Rather than paying money for a pixel you can just get this and it gets the job done too, unless you do hardcore gaming which i don't as i have a gaming PC..

Lack of NFC = no Google Pay or M-Card transport payments = I'm out sadly. Is it to hard to include NFC in every phone these days? It's becoming essential.
I've owned this phone for two months, have no complaints at all. I am a surveyor and use the camera all the time and have no issues with the quality or lighting. The dual camera works well but it's not something I use very often.. The battery life last most of the day but sometimes need a top up mid way to make sure.. I play most of the popular games incl 8 ball pool, modern combat and play really well. I have installed the Google pixel 2 ROM onto it with all the latest pixel Screensaver onto it... Looks and feels like a pixel on a budget of course... I wouldn't say it quite compares to a pixel but for the money you can't lose... Absolute bargain....
That phone is HOT. I have bought one to use as a reference development device and ended up using it as my main phone. It is fast, light, fully featured, and has the new google file-system. The latter enables you to have seamless root with magisk, and even get OTA upgrades, and still have annoying e-banking apps to function.

Most importantly even though the stock camera app is bad, the module is quite decent. If you use magisk to enable Camera2 API and use a pixel ported app, you will notice significant image quality increase to the point of beating my One Plus 5 in several occasions.

The only thing I miss is NFC.

I've watched couple of speed test videos and it's literary the same speed as pixel 2 when it comes to going through applications etc, but of course when it comes to gaming it's slower. The Google one OS is the best thing about this device

its not too far behind the pixel 2 :-) hehe
waiting for Xiaomi's 2018 android one model, the hissing is putting me off this one
anyone know if you can get one without the reversed bottom buttons?

I don't think any phone has reversed hardware buttons for the same variant of a phone
Seems to be 142.99 from there actual website with a choice if free delivery
Well spotted weegieq + an additional fiver off for new sign ups
What do they mean about there is a uk service station, But no international warranty?

That's the blocker for me.
I've had this for almost 3 months now - absolutely bargain of a phone. I upgraded from a Nexus 5, and the difference is stunning. Only few annoyances I've found:
Phone is made of very slippery plastic, cover is an absolute must.
Going from a 5" to 5.5" phone, I'm no longer able to easily operate the phone with one hand - opposite top corner requires shifting the phone or using both hands.
The BACK and MENU buttons are swapped - At first it sounds like something you just get used to - which is true - but since it's a bigger phone, it's a stretch to reach the MENU button now.
Lack of NFC, though obviously I knew about that when buying it.

One of the best purchases I've made in years - I can't believe how much phone you can get for just £140!

How would you rate the camera?

I actually rarely take photos so don't take my word for it, but I think it's great if there's enough light, but pretty bad in dark settings.

I don't think you can compare this to a Pixel
Great find ordered one
Didn't know EglobalCentral had an Ebay site! That should silence the doubters !
If this is the same model, slightly cheaper from them direct:

I have this (needed a dual sim with large memory). I'm very happy with the phone. However the camera is disappointing. It performs reasonably well in good light but is not sharp at all in lowlight/indoor conditions. I expect its down to the lack of OIS, and for sub £150 I can't complain. But if you need a decent camera I would personally not go for this phone.

can you give the link please, when I go on the actual website it shows in some other currency which doesn't work out to be 142.99.

I love the sound of these phones, but the camera for me is the deal breaker, I have the lg g2, which is not the greatest spec camera in the world, but I would want an improvement on my next phone, it's such a pity as the specs of this phone would blow my LG away.

Sorry I can't find you link either
I know the camera isn't amazing, but not sure you'd get anything else close below £150? Very tempting....

Interesting deal, I'm looking to replace my daughter's Moto G4 which is really laggy because she's always got basic games running. I see the Hard core gaming comments above. Is this ok for simple games without showing it down horrendously?

zermattbusby:
Cheaper link

Hopefully this will work, if not look for zermattbusby comment... Either that or just go on the eglobal website and use there search Mi a1... If currency is still wrong there'll be an option somewhere to change it

Edit... A well link didn't work but a few people have added direct link

Edit 2...from zermattbusby link...

They may be cheaper directly from Asia, but it'll take 4-6 weeks to arrive, and might get hit with VAT - it's already a cheap phone, it's not worth saving £3 to risk that, surely?!

Mine is from geekbuying, but I would buy it from the Ebay storefront in a heartbeat if I didn't already have one.

On Ebay store it says there are no Vat or import chargers for this device, if you scroll down to description and read it :-)
Gonna have to bite I think, need a gold one though (or pink, possibly).

I suspect it means that this is from China, via France. Meaning that you have no warranty with the manufacturer but could use EglobalCentral's UK service centres, which are basically just third party repair centres.

Buying through eBay with PayPal gives you some extra protection which is great, but don't rely on EGlobal for any help if it goes wrong, they'll shaft you for a quick buck. Be warned.
