Brrrr...Lite for 138. Don't know if it's correct to compare with eglobal but they had A2 4/64 for 118.
Another mi A2 deal!
What's happening with xiaomi they haven't released a new phone for at least a day or two

Yeah, I wouldn't compare it with eglobal either, the mi a2 lite is the better phone in my eyes.

Battery is the killer feature for me. Possibly better than average on the mi a2 you'll say, but the A2 lite kicks it's (Insert swear word here)

Yeah that's the only bad point of it. I was surprised that running on pure android without SIM card it doesn't last that much. But to be honest my S10 can barely last from 5am til 9pm...

Outside of America + most of Western Europe (except here of course - as we were adamant in sticking to the PAL system, etc), I thought I'd never see NTSC (as I haven't heard that picture/colouring system now for sodding ages now).

VHS's + Betamax's used to be referred to that way (but they died a while back).

As did Video CD's + Video DVD's that then replaced them also.

I'm not sure if Blu-ray's have continued that same conformity - as it's been a while since I've bothered to research upon these thing's ...

Every 5 minute's another 'scheme', Region 1 for USA, and Region 2 for UK (or was that the other way round?), number 0, 3, and 7 were for Asia and Europe in some way (can't remember which was what now, lol), tooooo many 'technical ilks' to consider, lol (my head hurts - for real!, lol).

Anyways, all that aside, 'NTSC', did it ever go over to Eastern Asia in the first place?, or ...

Considering that Xiaomi is not just a Chinese company, it's a Chinese company that's predominantly to be found in Eastern Asia (and arguably not here/other European countries, etc).

So I'm genuinely intrigued as to how they came about it to begin with altogether?.

Or is it just me, thinking wayyyyyy too much outside the box, or something?, lol.

"Don't know if it's correct to compare with eglobal but they had A2 4/64 for 118."

When the hell was that one?, lol (as I obviously missed it at the time - whenever that was ... ) lol.

Was it exactly like the OP's phone though? (as in Global ROM? - and not International/Chinese ROM altogether, or whatever?).

As them thing's make a blatant difference to manyyyyyy thing's! (and yes, even to Xiaomi's own pricing scheme's for their own phone's sold in China/India).

Personally speaking, whenever I've bought a Chinese phone from Chinese, I've always tried to get one that's compatible with as many LTE bandwidths as I possibly could get/find, for my purpose here, or whatever, before I then consider the same for anywhere else - because generally speaking, IF you get any from either here itself, and/or from abroad (that's compatible with here), the chances are, that that very same phone will also be compatible with anywhere and everywhere else in the World anyway

So if/when I therefore travel abroad elsewhere, I don't need to kill myself deliberating with myself as to if my new 'toy' is compatible with it's new foreign water's, or whatever - and trust me, you'll be proper SURPRISED how much that most mundane of nuances can literally be the key to EVERYTHING!, until you're right bang in the heart of it yourself basically ... (and before you ask, it's a yes, I am speaking from personal experience of 'similar' in the past), lol.

Fair enough, and that was a veryyyyy good price too. :-)

On a different note, I remember @Mrswitch Posting an Xiaomi A2 Deal on here about 2+ Week's or so back also ...

And from what I recall of the Thread at the time, it was mentioned that the A2 had USB-C charging (which not everyone has - so new charging cable would need to be deployed - as opposed to just recycling your for existing Micro USB cables instead), then on that note I then researched into it also, and commented that there was no 3.5 audio jack on that phone too (which again, is a 50/50 where everyone is concerned, etc).

Whereas the A2 Lite has all of the previous technologies in-tow ...

Again, not for everybody, but important for some - hence me not buying any at the time (and the A2 Life's were only 3GB/32GB, which were unfortunately of no good to me either, so didn't bother myself there also, sadly.

I got a different Xiaomi phone in the end anyway (fitting what I was looking for, for the here and now anyway, lol, so I'm good now). :-)

Edit:

The A2 Lite's conforming to older technologies (eg. Micro USB charging, and 3.5 audio jack, etc), WAS something I both considered + wanted in a phone ( on account of my previous/existing Micro USB cables + headphone lead's from previous phone's I've had in the past, etc).

But the Deal on the Xiaomi at the time, was only on it's A2 Lite 3GB/32GB, and not on the A2 Lite 4GB/64GB (which to be honest was more of what I was looking to rather pitch for at the time, lol.

But clearly was not to be - so didn't get either (at that particular point in time anyway, so yeh), lol.

I have this phone (4gb version). It's really good.

The screen is really nice and crisp. My previous phone that I loved was the Redmi Note 4, which looked washed out by comparison.

It's quite nippy to use, processor wise. Though does freeze up temporarily on occasion. I've not found this a big deal though.

The notch is a bit in your face to be honest, and realistically does remove a portion of the screen as most websites treat the bottom of the notch as the edge of the phone.

As already said though, the battery is great. Will last 2 days with moderate/heavy use. I've got three days out of it with light use.

Great phone for the money.
Great phone, great deal. Heat
Once you've gone USB C, there's no going back...
This or the Note 7? Decisions decisions. My note 4 has developed a headphone jack issue so can't be used at all without the earbuds. Loved it in all other aspects but hope this is not a problem with all models. Can anyone advise on either question please?

It isn't a problem with all models, not that I've heard or seen anyway. I'd go with the note 7 if it were me, far superior in most areas, key areas being camera and processor.

Plus around or about's the same price depending on where you're willing to buy from

Thanks. You've made my mind up. Gearbest have it for £135.62 right now and I've never had problems with them in the past.
This will still get security updates until 2021 won't it?
