Excellent prices for UK dealers in my opinion, 64gb at £110 now oos, and the 32gb at £105, only 50 available of the 64GB.

Was the website made in 1997?
It's a shame Xiaomi phones don't typically have NFC
MrSwitch14/08/2019 11:47

Circa 1998

I haven't looked but I'm hoping it has a hit counter and scrolling "welcome to my home page! " text.
Had since launch, great phone for the £170 ish I paid for it, and a bargain at this price.

Particular Pros for me

Android One means it runs really smooth. I have a Note 5 Pro too and that has better specs, but Miui slows it down in comparison. I find the Mi A2 Lite just runs noticeably better because of the pure android.

FM Radio and IR Blaster built in

'Loud' loud speaker

Great Battery Life

Size wise it's the biggest phone I can still fit in my shirt pocket and use one handed. Kind of a sweet spot for me dimensions wise.

Still uses Micro USB, which is good for me with my accessories all being Micro USB, yet still has rapid charging.

It's biggest weakness for many will be the 'average camera'.... But I have found it perfectly useable and taken some nice shots and video.

Is it your company?

Haha, nope!
If it were, my website wouldn't be called UK computers, and it would have a more, let's say, 2019 design

Haha, it looks poor, but apparently they've been allowed on hukd for years, I asked the forum team before posting last time.
Does anyone know if this comes with any warranty?

Wow hitcounters were the 90s equivalent of like. I was so happy when I had over a hundred views.
on recommend of mr switch had the 3/32 for a while. Android One, great battery and a good all round phone.
unless you have some v specific needs couldnt recommend this enough

Thanks a lot Switchy. Just a quick question before I take the plunge. I'm looking for a cheap smartphone to last a few years for my dad (not a heavy phone user besides Facebook, WhatsApp, calls etc) who's currently got an iPhone 4. Would you recommend this or something else?

This will do the job perfectly I reckon, there are others like the Nokia 7.1 for around the same price grade A at cex, but for what he'll use it for, I'd say this was spot on. And 64gb to boot.
Have this phone and can honestly say it's brilliant 4/64 version paid 150 from eglobal back in Jan so fab price
I have the 4/64 variant and can also recommend this phone. Does everything you need for day to day use at at very affordable price
mr switch great phone.
more than capable for all but the power user I think
(or that person who needs a brand and the latest specs without having a clue what they need them for)
fast, decent screen and ok camera, great battery and android one. spot on mr switch
dont think many need to spend more than the 100 odd quid here
negredo,
got the fogies redmi 7A on Mr switch advice.
more than enough and save yourself another few quid
even better battery and a bit smaller to handle
hotukdeals.com/dea…330

Thanks a bunch Switchy. Keep up the good work!

Also just for everyone else's sake, delivery takes the price to £118.61 for the 64GB version (no option for free delivery)
Agree bout the camera but with enough light it can take a good pic
I have this phone, it's great
what makes this version Lite?
This or Nokia 7.1
ssc114/08/2019 13:37

what makes this version Lite?

Same weight as a feather
Heat for a UK price, great little phone, I have one as a backup and recommend it to anyone that is an average user.
ssc114/08/2019 14:09

actually lite better UT says.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMCQ0AyHG2w

Sorry, my attempt at humour.

The A2 lite has the bigger battery
Website doesn't look modern enough for burst pricing to have been implemented, but price now £120.70 for the 64GB model.

Really good price on this phone, but unfortunately the state of their website made me check their Companies House and do some digging. I'm not confident enough with what I found to risk even a credit card purchase
If I didn't have a Pocophone I'd snap this up in a heart beat.

Does everything a phone needs to, has a headphone jack, battery is great. If you don't NEED a fantastic camera then save some cash and buy this.
