Seems to be good pricing for people who don't want to order from China.

Couldn't agree with you more, though the 9t Probably be found cheaper. Though not from the uk sadly

Not bad really, plus you get to pick them up in person which is always nice
Really good price on the Mi A3 in particular. I would imagine whoever is doing the stock picks has to be careful opening the door of the Mi A3 warehouse for fear of being killed by falling Mi A3s! I jest, the fact it's been a weird misstep has obviously caused it to decrease in price so much that it is probably now in billy bargain territory.

Heat added.

The best but is that they are okay devices!

Mrs dropped hers in the toilet by accident and it's made a 100% recovery to being fully operational.

I completely agree BTW. But the screen WAS a misstep by Xiaomi because it caused so much online consternation, even ridicule, that the price of the phone plummeted way quicker than either of its predecessors. Which, as I suggested, is very good news for the consumer. But will they go 720p for the screen on the Mi A4? More chance of PM Swinson or Farage

It was a good test. Bet they still make decent money on each one sold! Average users wouldn't notice the screen at all.
Great price for A3 on purchase in UK
Are these gen 1 or gen 2 Mi True Wireless Earphones?

I believe Gen 2 are still to be released outside of China please can we confirm, thanks.
There is an Amazon marketplace seller in the U.K. doing the MiA3 64gb for 139 but might be more piece of mind getting direct from Xiaomi

For £10 more I would also be warey if the other is imported with EU plug or UK plug in the box.
Mi 9T seems like a really good deal given its UK and 128gb model
I can't see the link to the A3. Anyone found it on the site?

Edit: In store only.

I have a Oneplus 3T, screen smashed and £150 to replace it. Would I be better off paying the £150 to replace the screen or replacing the whole handset with the A3? The battery on the 3T now wont last longer than 4-5 hours of use, less if I call. I'm mostly concerned with using it for online and app use. Need a handset without a smashed screen!

I'd rather buy the A3 in that case.

I've got a 3T as well and my battery won't last that long. Standby time is really good but using it drains pretty quickly.

Considering the 9T but may keep going with 3T for a bit longer, decisions decisions

In the circs you've stated, the Mi A3 every day of the week. Sounds like it needs a new battery to go with the new screen. For the same money you're getting a brand new mobile with, screen aside, a brilliant spec for the asking price and with a 2 year warranty. No-brainer. My wife's Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is well over 2 years old and the battery doesn't seem to have degarded much if at all during that time. She still gets 2 days out of it. Plus she got the MIUI 11 update last week! Xiaomi make excellent phones, the fact they charge less than competitors spec for spec is just icing on the cake...

gsmarena.com/com…140

Everyday speed wise I can't find a direct comparison but this is the MiA3s predecessor the Mi A2 in direct comparison and the Mi A3 has a slightly faster processor so looks like you won't notice any real difference in everyday tasks.

Hey, you seem to know your stuff, what phone would you recommend sub £200? Is there something in between the Mi A3 and Mi 9T?

Looking at something for my 14-year-old nephew and he likes my Mi 9T but would prefer something a bit cheaper. Is there something with a higher resolution screen then the Mi A3, decent cameras, decent battery and either no notch or a waterdrop notch?

His dad wants to buy him a new iPhone 11 which is ridiculous!

Mi 9 Lite springs to mind, that nestles sweetly between the two, I know you didn't ask my opinion, but you're getting it anyway

Compared to Mr Switch I'm just an enthusiastic amateur but I was going to say Mi 9 Lite Looks like amateur and pro alike are of the same opinion.

PS His dad wants to buy him an iPhone 11? A 14 year old? There literally should be a law preventing this sort of daftness/

Thanks @MrSwitch and @bellboys - the Mi 9T Lite looks perfect.
Odd how they sell the 9T in store but not online.
Shame this deal is only for Londoners. I would have got the 9T for my son otherwise.

Hi MrSwitch, you don't happen to know the difference between the mi 9 and the mi 9t? I'm looking for a phone for the wife for around £300-£350 with a good camera, 128gb storage, nfc and dual sim. Mi 9 seems to score OK on dxomobile and is £314 through mi app with 20w wireless charger using bf30 code. I'm a bit put off by popup cameras and the sliding of the mi mix 3, I just don't know how durable they are. Anyway, would you have any other suggestions?

Thanks
Dave

Main Difference between the mi 9 and 9t is the processor, unless you mean the pro?

There are quite a few around that price, and the mi 9 is a definite top 5 in that price bracketm

You've done it again to me Mr switch, I'd decided on the realme 5 pro, but now I'm undecided again.. With this mi A3 being from a uk seller, but the screen quality I'm not liking but its software is better than the realme colorOs skin... Help me please haha

Where do you live?
A3 or Redmi note 7? Especially the cameras.
Up north, near Lancashire..... I'm wanting good spec/ processor over camera, but a little concerned with these budget phone not getting regularly updates, I've had that issue with my huawei phone.
The main snapper is a 48mp on both, both have a depth sensor, but the Note lacks the ultra-wide lens and the A3 has a better selfie cam if that's your thing.
Screen and CPU are better on the note 7.

For everything else and the stock android, which will get updates,i'd go A3.

Android one or google phones are really good if you want to stay up to date, although google are now changing how security updates are pushed so that its not left up to individual manufacturers. This doesnt mean you'll get major O/S update revisions though.
Just worried about colorOs skin on the realme, not so much the software skin/apps on it but with it keeping upto date with the latest android version, well, for a least the next few years, by then I'll be looking for something new.
