I've got it and it's not as problem. The advantages of an OLED screen more than make up for it.

At this price, it's an absolute bargain for what you get. Pure Android with the latest security updates, slowly rolling out Android 10 too. Camera is brill.

Highly recommend.

I'd send it to my mother who is the only relative who doesn't live in the Highlands... But she has a memory like a sieve and would honestly take weeks, if not a month or two to remember to take it somewhere to post it on to me only got my birthday card a few days late this year though! It's usually here the following month!
Cracking phone for the price.
What's the best alternative with nfc? Suggestions would be much appreciated. 🏻

What do you want to use NFC for? If it's for Google Pay, your going to have issues with these Chinese phones.

The Redmi Note 8T - a better screen also, but you loose android one
Just set two of these up for my mum and dad and I have an iPhone XS and not once did I feel the screen was not good. It never crossed my mind. Snappy too.

iphone xs display has NOTHING to do with this one (except the type of course), it has 458 ppi density, which is almost double of A3

I know lol. I am just saying that the low res screen people keep going on about is not bad at all. My Xs next to it while setting em up and it did not look bad at all. Which is what I said above lol.

Now my eyes are nearly 50 year old so my look worse if your short trousers still.

But all I am saying is it’s not a bad screen which you should have understood if you read correctly.

My parents are 75 so sure they will never tell especially since coming from a Moto g 2 and a redmi note 4.

I think the devices have to be authorised to use NFC for Google Pay. So any of the more unknown Chinese brands would not have it to enable Android pay. Or that's what I understand from what I've read.
Will this have band 20(800)? Spec on eglobal doesn't list it in the bands list but other sites suggest it should.

It does mate yes
Sorry to be jumping into this one again hive mind, does the phone support always on display at all?
The Mi store in London Westfield (Shepherds Bush) have a table of these on displays to have a play about with.

I was really impressed with it, very snappy and had no pixelly issues myself, which surprised me from the reviews I had read.

Very nice sub £200 phone, and a hot deal at this price.

It's a shame there isn't a company which will accept your delivery at a, let's say English, address. They then forward it you using Royal Mail and their Universal Service Obligation at Royal Mail rates. Any Entrepreneurs out there?

Same I live in city in Northern Ireland it says I'm being charged for living in a rural area ffs £25 everytimw for postage just stops me buying.
Keep on dropping! Can't add anymore heat or I would. This one doesn't say it comes with the normal 2 year Xiaomi warranty, so it would be interesting to hear from anyone who's bought it and contacted Xiaomi UK to confirm what warranty it has. Probably 1 year, but who knows with eGlobal you could be lucky and get more.
Is this a phone with sealed battery so that when the battery recharge cycles depletes you have to chuck the phone away? I'm one of those old fashioned types that likes to hang on to my phone at least past 3 years.

Not at the moment no, maybe a third party app will let you or the Android 10 update.

That is nearly every phone now, you will be hard pressed to find any phone now that has a replaceable battery. I don't know any.
Which phone is better?
Mi A3 4GB
Redmi Note 7 4GB
Redmi Note 8 4GB

You'd be hard pressed to find any decent mobile these days that actually has a removable battery TBH. Rest assured, Mrs Bellboys' 2 years and 5 months old Redmi Note 4's 4000Mah battery still going strong and still lasting 2 days on moderate use.
Apologies for my ignorance, i'm not clued up on bands for mobile networks.
I'm currently using Plusnet mobile, which band is that and will it work on this phone?
Just ordered

No problem with GPay on my mi9 - though there is a setting that needed updating.
AFAIK .......The bigger problems are when using a rooted phone - alot oft the banking/fiance apps are blocked - some chinese phones that are flashed with the global roms rather than being the true global edition sometimes cant be used.
I havent any experience of the lesser brands

Thanks for that, I think that's the important bit I was missing
Is this one of those phones which has the c**ppy battery and Camera on the asian dual SIM version and the good camera on the international version with single SIM?

Plusnet piggy back on the EE network (both EE and plusnet are owned by BT, of course) and this phone has ALL the UK 4G networks available on it so will work fine.
Haha £25 delivery with no insurance to Belfast
They can stick it up

Just numerous comments I've seen on here on various eglobal deals. Things like poor customer service, slow delivery, lack of warranties / consumer protection... I'm not sure the validity of such comments or how often people have genuinely had issues with them as I've never used eglobal before so not sure how they operate and even the best companies have the occasional blip.

Genuine question what phone do you have? The last phone I had with a removable battery was a work mobile (£10 Nokia C1).
If it was a better screen would get it but its 720p and low ppi
