Question; wife is almost ready to upgrade from Mi A2 Lite...but will this be much more responsive, do you reckon?

She's not fussed on resolution if it's faster etc. I've neglected to look at it much so have missed the chatter about it.

This is going to be much more responsive with a 3 camera setup and in screen fingerprint it is a steal at this price

Very minor difference between this the A2 and the note 7, virtually the same processor. A2 lite yeah with the 625

As an upgrade to the A2 lite it's good, but the mi 9t would be better, you know this as you have one, and not a lot lot more expensive, unless you are on a budget.

Interested in your opinion on the 9t, seems to tick every box for me ?
The main premium feature is the Amoled screen, likely part courtesy of Apple wanting to more differentiate its budget phone, the Phone 11 from its premium big brother phone.

Which boxes? I have the 6/128 9T in blue and it's lovely. Fast, NFC, reasonably decent camera and looks great on my gimbal.

Spanner in works: Mrs C not happy with how big it is (she's never complained before?).

As an upgrade to my note 5, nearly bought a note 7 but reckon this is worth the £100 extra ?

For sure. The processor is snappy, cameras are good, screen is lovely. NFC is useful in fairness but wasn't a deal breaker for me - but I now use it loads!
Does it not have Band 20?
How does this compare to the redmi note 7? I've been considering that the past week or so as an upgrade to my redmi note 4 4/64gb

I'd go for this one. I compared the Mi A2 (similar cpu to this one) to the A2 Lite, and functions like photo orocessing (portrait mode) were significantly quicker on the A2.
I ordered one.
Is it easy to remove the pre installed bloatware and malware from this device?
And second question, is this better than a Huawei P Smart (2019)?
Had the A2 and thought it was a great phone. At £143 the A3 seems fantastic value. White looks good too.

This is an Android One device - no bloatware, and fast regular updates.
Thanks, just bought

Same question here if anyone can answer, torn between this and the note 7!

I'd check some reviews and comparisons. I'd opt for the note 7 due to the screen resolution ( some reviews state that text can be difficult to read, although videos and pictures are fine.). If you're not bothered about the screen, compare photo samples of both phones. The note 7 is a larger phone with a larger screen. Finally, MIUI might not be to your liking, if that's the case then the A3 is the better bet.

Thanks a lot! I was leaning slightly toward the note 7 and I think that's what I'll go for, a good screen is a must!
I got one a few weeks ago from eG for £150

It has it's problems, but overall it's a decent phone. I got the blue one and it looks so good

There isn't any. I think there's 1 Xiaomi community app, but that can be uninstalled like any other app.
As a bit of mobile phone novice, the fact that this runs android and has google play preinstalled means I wouldn't really experience any difference to owning any other phone, correct?

Also, is the eGlobalCentral UK warranty better than the supposedly non existent international one - or is it just as worthless? eglobalcentraluk.com/war…top

Did you get it delivered and does it have original camera? Somehow there seems to be very few comments from people who actually have one. So far I've come across someone whose main camera tests out as 12MPix

Pictures are 12mp by default. It uses a 48mp sensor which uses 4-1 pixel binning to combine into the optimal shot. You can turn it off if you want a full 48Mp , but you will likely get worse pictures unless the lighting is very good.
