Lowest price today that I can see for a Mi A3. As usual with mid range Xiaomi products, specs are pretty impressive and a formidable all rounder phone for the money.

As always, custom charges may be a factor when ordering from China, so bear this in mind

Best price so far. 👏 Heat 🔥
Don't forget there may be extra charges to pay @msmyth

Of course, thanks for the reminder @MrSwitch

No problem, I know I get that a lot, nice to be on the other side of the fence, no offence intended btw, just a courtesy reminder
Great price, great specs. One thing to bear in mind before buying is the low pixel density of this phone - it may not matter for a lot of people but I personally notice that kind of thing.

This or the remi note 7 in your opinion mate?

Also i've bought from hong kong goldway before (they are the best reputable seller on aliexpresss), they used to guarantee no customs charges, has this changed now?

It was 3 years ago now though....

Yes, IMO a missed opportunity by Xiaomi here. Many of the reviews I've read or seen seem to think that with an 1080 LCD display instead of the 720p Amoled

here this would have been almost perfect. But I believe that in display fingerprint sensors aren't possible on LCD so if true that feature would have to be dropped.

Will be interesting to see what they do screen wise on the Mi A4, my suspicion is they go back to 1080 LCD and I'm sure the negative response from Xiaomi fans to the 720p screen has affected sales.

But great price all the same so heated added. I note eglobal are selling this mobile for 7 quid more and way less chance of import charges.

They used to charge for the privilege though I think, only recently have they been offering free delivery, so I'm totally unsure.

If it were me, I'd go for this, the screen is neglible to the naked eye, but this has better all round than the note 7.

I was thinking the same thing earlier, the sales graph chart for the A3 is potentially well off what they expected to happen... I was looking forward to getting on to play with, now I will wait until the price is sub £120 before I bite

Looking at how quickly this model has dropped in price I don't think you will be waiting long. Bizarre release from Xiaomi IMO BUT if the screen res is not a problem some real bargains are going to be had in the coming months.

Agreed, so I will hold fire now and see how low it can go!
Is this better than the g6 plus?
I'm a great fan of xiaomi phones and follow this site to gain from other people's experience and knowledge but I'm confused over their line up! Was looking at the redmi note 7 or 8 but what is the main differences apart from the names? Help appreciated
I think I might wait til closer to Christmas, hoping it's £100 or less by then, will get it for my dad, he can't tell the difference between SD and HD anymore anyway!

Just be aware Xiaomi UK don't offer warranty on imports.

Yeah it's a confusing muddle when you look at it. To compare side by side different makes and models gsmarena's website is really good to clearly see the differences. Plus always check the version you are buying has Band 20 incase it's a frequency your mobile company uses.

It's £136 on eGlobal eglobalcentraluk.com/xia…tml but no tax to pay as they post from Europe, but not great customer service and possibly no warranty even though they claim they offer one, as Xiaomi don't seem to support it.

I can deffo see it being close to £100 by Xmas, seems like it has been rather a huge flop reviews and sales wise, especially in comparison to the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite.

All because of that screen really.

Shame as otherwise it has some great specs, and at this price, once you can deal with the screen, it is a great deal.

Good to make people aware that any purchase from China may incur some kind of charges

Is it any less dense than the 720p iPhone XR which Apple sells for north of £600?

I have no idea man. I'm just highlighting a feature of this particular phone because that's the deal that's currently on offer. Hopefully helping people make a more informed purchase so they know what they're getting.
I've had an A3 for about 3 weeks, very pleased with it so far.
The only gripe I have is there doesn't appear to be any way to disable the fingerprint sensor when in a pocket (by making use of the proximity sensor)
So I'm constantly feeling the phone vibrate as my leg touches the screen, and have managed to get the emergency dialler up quite a few times.
So far the only solution I can find is to disable the fingerprint sensor entirely and use pin/swipe.

iPhone XR is 326ppi and A3 is 286ppi. So it does look to be worse. I personally use my phone on a lower Res to save battery life and I can't notice the difference between the higher res and low Res. However I have a smaller screen and LCD is slightly different to amoled. I was going to buy the A3 but GSM Arena commented that the pixels were visible which was jarring as we are so used to high Res screens, they suggested it was a combination of the resolution, screen size and amoled that made it a problem.

I thinks it's a problem for Xiaomi because peopl ebuy the phones online having not seen one. If I could go into a shop I could make my own mind up on the screen but as I can't i am reluctant to take the risk.
Cold. I was reading about random bans on few games because you own Xiaomi phone
Joking of course heat for good price on deal.

yup (pretty sure the iphone 11 is aswell) and the iphones are still more dense at 326ppi vs 286ppi but the most important part is that the a3 is super amoled pentile and pentile has a worse subpixel density and as such looks worse than an lcd at the same resolution let alone pentile and even at this price range the screen is pretty weak compared to the competition.
