Can only be hot at this price. The quality on offer here really does make you wonder how the likes of fitbit get away with selling anything at the money they are asking.
Cold not band 20

My post on the previous thread:
The best bits of the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 are the pedometer (accurate according to reviews), sleep tracking and that it vibrates when you receive a phone call/SMS (useful if your phone is in your bag in Bluetooth range, there is a do not disturb night-time setting). The heart rate monitor may not always measure accurately. It reports measurements over Bluetooth to the Mi Band app, which can pass the data on to Google Fit. It has goal tracking and a 12+ day battery life.

If you are particularly interested in heart rate, the readings need to be manually/app activated. The Mi Band 2's app (available on Android and iOS) doesn't schedule readings. There may be an iPhone app that schedules readings (there is one on Android).

Amazing item. Mine only needs charging every 4-5 weeks ! The battery life is great and different bands can be had cheap.

I think you are getting your wires crossed, this is a 20 inch band.
Good deal but still waiting for mine ordered 23rd Jan from Gearbest. Have to wait for 23rd March before customer service will look into it.

Really good watch. Bought 3 as Christmas presents, Lasts weeks between charging and the app works well.
Great price and to my way of thinking fulfils c80% of the role for c20% of the price, and the Mi Fit app keeps improving.

Tip: It took me over a year to realise, but you can upgrade from the plastic wristband to a metal strap - I found one on AliExpress for c£5 that's proved comfortable, attractive & reliable - eg not prone to occasionally popping open as the aged plastic strap stud was no longer new.

I always pay for the better shipping now after an 8 week wait for a drone to be delivered. It went via Russia!!!
I get 8-10 days out of mine, but I have lots of notifications set up. It'd probably be longer were it not for the glitch at present that is giving duplicate notification alerts. It's a good band though. I have a gunmetal colour magnetic holder on a black leather strap. Looks nice.

Lmao wow.
What's with all the poor reviews on Amazon for this item? Could all those people have a fake model? Hmm, I wonder... Or it just depends on how lucky you are and if you receive a faulty unit or not?
Cant really grumble for less than 15 quid and the app itself dors pretty much everything i need it to. Mine's been sound so far, i got a different band off Amazon i think which is far comfier to wear.
What can this actually do? I can see the watch function.. Someone mentioned message alerts.. Does it have a stopwatch /timer?
£15.33 with Priority Line shipping when paying in USD.

I've been happy with all the Xiaomi stuff I've bought before, hopefully this continues the trend.
Got this for about £7.50 a few months ago but it's still great for this price. No frills, does what you want it to. Don't bother with any of the name brands when you can get this for 1/5 the price of a Fitbit that does the same stuff.
Had mine 6 months now. Strap has broken but 75p for a new one. Great little things.

Battery lasts a month on these. I have owned a few of these (mostly because I lost them at airport security etc) but couldn't fault this band. Beats fitbit garbage any way

Amazon sell this too but it's quite expensive (over double the price): Xiaomi Mi Band 2 Smartwatch OLED Heart Rate Monitor Touchpad/ Bluetooth/ Android 4.4/ iOS 7.0 Versions and Above amazon.co.uk/dp/…PS/

It's an option though if you want Amazon warranty/customer service/quick delivery

Dispatched from and sold by Amazon. Doubt it's a fake
I bought two of these and got stung by customs ended up at UK price in the end
I've got one of these and I love it, battery life is really good and it does what I need it to!
Hi. I am so tempted to buy one of these but I am curious to know how accurate the step counter and distance modes are.

When previously using an iPhone, I constantly used the inbuilt pedometer and was fairly satisfied with the results.

Now that I am on the Samsung S8, I can use several apps at the same time and get different results which is frustrating.

I recently did a 33 mile walk and the Samsung Health app showed 3 miles less than the Under Armour app and if the Mi Band 2 is fairly accurate, I might have to take the plunge.

The lack of a GPS says it wont be 100% but if it means that I can keep an eye on the distance without having to start the Under Armour app every day, then its ok.

I know its only £15 but if its a load of crap, that £15 could have gone towards something better suited.

Thanks.

Happy with mine eBay purchase for £15.. great quality have notifications for email Facebook WhatsApp calls and texts.. and get 3+ weeks of battery life..
There is a 3rd party app
Notify & fitness for Mi band
Gives a few extra options and is IMO slightly better than the stock app... if you have both installed turn notification of on one or you get double notifications..
There are cheaper one’s on Amazon which do the same as this. However it is good as I used to own one for quite a while until the strap came loose and I lost it. The software is good as well however the weakness is the strap.

what's the difference between the chinese model and the international one?

is it just the instruction manual in chinese?
These are great. I ordered mine from Gearbest with no problems, the kids love theirs. You can buy replacement straps from Amazon or Ali Express or wherever too. Great for getting the kids active - my youngest ran up and down the street in a Unicorn onesie for a week when hers first arrived.

Exactly!! Read somewhere that there is a difference in bluetooth Chinese Version 4.0 and the International Version 4.2, but I think that might just be hogwash. I've had mine for over 5 months now. Nice piece of equipment for under £20. Gonna buy a few more for the family for Christmas but I think I might just wait for the old black friday again.

I think the Mi Band 2 is great value for what it costs. Is the pedometer accurate? This is my first "smart-ish watch" but I would have to say the pedometer is okay, I don't think it works 100%, same with the heart rate monitor, I am skeptical about the readings being accurate. But in saying that for £15 you get a very sexy looking watch, that is almost as good as all the watches which are way over £100. So I definitely recommend this product if you are just getting into wearables as I am. However if you are coming from a more expensive wearable, I would say this is a downgrade for you. Still though, great for a gift to someone at Christmas.

Thanks for the help.

This would also be my first wearable so there's no worry with downgrading haha.

I would only be using it for the watch and distance functions, I'm not bothered about the app notifications and such so if the accuracy isnt close then I might have to avoid it as it wouldnt be improving on the S8's Samsung Health app.

It is a nice looking piece of kit though. For £15, I might just use it as a watch haha.
can this pair with the Strava app for heart rate?

Regardless of what others say, the Bluetooth version in the Chinese version is 4 and in the global, its 4.2 Also, the Chinese one connects to servers in China, and the global one connects to servers outside china. How this affects useage, I don't know. Mine is a Chinese one, and it's fine.

there is no option to do that but also no need. it picks up the language of the phone/app you're using
I've had mine since October and I love it. Paid close to £24 for mine but compared to others I still thought that was a bargain. I've had no problems with mine at all. I charge mine about once a week but I have notifications from several apps (quite a lot of apps really) and i monitor my heart every 10 mins. So all this adds to battery usage. I wasn't too keen on the Mi band app though, instead I use two others which I find much better. One for personalised notifications from any app I have on my phone and another app for monitoring the mi band info. It displays so much better with graphs etc of heart rate, steps and sleep etc. Also this Mi band is compatible with Sleep as Android which Ilike a lot.

You shudda bought them individually and stayed under the customs threshol
It's an alright price. I've gone off the idea of getting one of these though, when one of the xiaomi smart watches are so cheap. It's starting to look very dated.
Where is the option for this, I can't seem to find it?
