Xiaomi Mi band 4 [Global] Using New User Coupon £23.44 @ Xiaomi Official Store on Aliexpress

45
Posted 26th JunShipping from China
The latest version of the Xiaomi Mi Band. Create an account and use the New User Coupon to bring the price to $29.79 (£23.44). Make sure the price is in US dollars and pay using a fee free card, such as Monzo or Starling. Otherwise, it will be £23.84 if you pay in Great British Pounds.

Paying with PayPal will add a small fee, but the band is from Xiaomi Official Store on Aliexpress so it should be quite trustworthy.

Despite the rather misleading name, this store referenced in this deal is NOT an OFFICIAL Xiaomi store owned or operated by Xiaomi.

As you can see from the banner on the top of the store's page, it is an AUTHORIZED RESELLER (i.e. a private seller who buys goods from the Xiaomi warehouse)

This deceptive name practice is very common on AliX, and you'll see all manner of stores with "official", "genuine", "online" who are nothing more than resellers like everyone else.

Is this available from any retailers in the UK yet? I want to buy one but don't trust the Chinese stores.
NFC version?

AliExpress is fine (usually) in my experience. However with this I would probably wait as well. I think they are to be £35 in the UK? I have the 3 and it's a great little watch
Don't forget the 1.48 shipping. Seems to end up way more expensive than other sellers out there.

Out of curiosity why do you want the NFC version? Reportedly it only supports the Chinese payment methods and not the western ones so it's completely useless for Google/Samsung/Apple Pay.

Even if it's £35 I'll still buy from the UK. I'm not in hurry and prefer to have decent aftersale support with electronic devices.
I am looking forward to buying it, Mi 3 is one of the best purchases of mine.
This is only a quid more on gearbest today, with a smaller chance of customs.

You won't need any "after sales" support on this. Save £15+ and buy the Chinese version from Ali or any number of sellers. Received mine yesterday, all good. 10days delivery from ordering.
There are some eBay sellers claiming to have UK stock for under £30

Yup agreed got mine yesterday and it's the NFC version though that's likely to be useless in this country...

Didn't think the NFC version was available anywhere yet? Will probably get another one later once NFC is confirmed for UK use but not that bothered.

Yes, if it doesn't arrive or arrives faulty AliExpress will help. But what if it breaks out of the return period? Will the seller take responsibility? Unlikely...

Ah, that's just the Alipay thing... As far as I know it can display a QR code that can be used for Alipay. Not NFC

If it doesn't arrive or is DOA then open a PayPal case, no issues there. You take the risk that it fails after a few months but most people would say a 40% discount is worth that small risk. I have loads of Xiaomi kit and never had any issues but it is a piece of electronic equipment so there is always a possibility. Totally up to you in the end of you want to pay more for the warranty

I bought a Mi Band 2 from Gearbest in Sept 17. It is working absolutely fine today. The chances are that if you buy a mi band 4 from AliExpress it will still be running when you want to upgrade to a new version.
I ordered a Mi Band 4 from AliExpress (XL Global Store) a couple of weeks ago, it turned up today. It is a Mi Band 3. Awaiting their response in chat.

Got mine today. 11 days from order. Really pleased with everything. Paired and running within minutes. Well worth 23 quid.

Thanks. Just ordered, came to £25 and a few pence with PayPal. Will it really take 40 days to arrive?

43 pound dollars? That's a new one.
Can you challenge your friends - similar to fit bits, with these?
Just incase anyone was wondering you can easily see it in the sun 100% improvement.
Word of caution if you're in a rush to receive the item. If you order via the AliExpress seller mentioned by the OP (Xiaomi Official Store) then seems it gets shipped by sea freight and could easily take the 20-40 days to arrive.
I placed my order on 27th June and in 2nd July tracking status was saying departed origin country. No update since. I assume you would get an "arrived destination country" within 24-48 hours, but no update unfortunately, so resigning myself to having to wait till end of July now

More totally incorrect nonsense from people who are just making stuff up!

Very little Chinese stuff comes via sea freight - only the very heavy/bulky packages. 99% comes by air. The Chinese Government actually subsidises shipping costs for all exports up to approx 1Kg in weight, thus a seller will typically pay something like 2p to 5p (yes, UK PENNIES) to ship an item from China to the UK via Airmail (provided they use a normal carrier like China Post, Small Packet etc and not a bespoke courier like DHL).

This should logically explain to all the people who just "make stuff up" how a Chinese seller can send me (for example) a small plastic cable cutter for 23p delivered and still make a profit.

The TRUTH about your item is that Chinese tracking information is notoriously unreliable. The liklihood is that when it says "departed country of origin", it really means "stuck in our air container at the airport, because it's not quite full and we need to cram as much in as possible before we put it on the plane"

For the record, I've personally received loads of items here in the UK whilst the tracking info says items haven't even left the airport!

Once an item has left China by air, it's typically in the Royal Mail system within 48 hours (unless delayed in UK Customs Hall).

So, perhaps it's time to stop the unecessary whining and enjoy the sunshine

Sigh........ Then how did I get mine within 8 days? If you don't know what you are talking about best not to post...
@cb-uk@Danielle71 If you re-read my comment, I'm clearly making a speculative statement rather than claiming to make a definitive statement on what's going on.

I've ordered small, light, low value items from China in the past and more often than not the delivery time is closer to a month than it is 1-2 weeks. Ok, i don't work in the mail system over in the Far East so I don't know in practise how things get shipped and what causes the delays.
Of course it will be a pleasant surprise if I receive the item in the next couple of working days, but I won't be holding my breath. Either way, whether the item gets shipped by air or sea, depending on your luck due to various bottlenecks in the international postal system, you're not guaranteed the best case 1-2 weeks for delivery, and I'm just saying people should keep that in mind if they are in a rush.

Will post to give an update when I receive the item.
