Fair enough buddy. I'd never want to force anyone to use these guys if they didn't want to.

They can't be any worst than aliexpress surely and those deals get plenty of heat.
Brought mine from AliExpress without issue before, depends on seller. The mi band I found to be rather great, although I would get a new charger so you don't have to keep getting the band out of the strap.

Good watch for the price. Heat

Never had any issues with GB, BG or Ali. Obviously everybody's experience is different. Recently had an issue with John Lewis so no retailer is immune to problems. Pay with PayPal and you're covered if it doesn't arrive and be aware that warranty will be non existent but the reduced price you pay covers the risk. This is half the price of buying in the UK, definitely with no warranty if you want one.
can these give a continuous accurate heart rate track, every 3 seconds or whatever, so you can monitor it and alter your pace while youre running etc?
Got OH the 4 for Xmas even though he's only had band 3 a few months. He loves it, especially all the new colour watch faces. He's even got Super Mario walking along his screen , he's like a kid trying them all out. Thinking of getting one myself now as I'm loving this one so much too

PS: I've honestly had loads more problems with UK sellers than China over the past 12 years I've been buying. In fact, I've never had a single problem.
Good deal, ordered this from gb on 7th and arrived on the 23rd.

Nothing mate really, maybe one more feature on the global which we can't use here anyway.

Nothing, hubby has both the the global 3 and Chinese 4 and there is no difference. You get WhatsApp messages aswell as texts on the 4 too and all the watch faces are amazing.
Buy one, you'll love it.
The only downside I have found is that either firmware updates in October or November OR ios updates at similar timings has messed the app interface a bit. I'm using a 6S and don't know if it's the same on other iPhone models. Also changing time zone can temporarily mess it but when you journey back it's as it was before. Some have reported issues with swimming mode but I haven't used that. On a cross-trainer the lack of wrist movement might not register the "steps" but putting the band in a pocket sorts that but loses heart rate.

Have you tried a different app?

No, only the Mi Fit. There's plenty of comments from other users with similar issues. Other apps have reviews just as bad, I'm not a fitness junkie and I can live with the shortcomings.

I didn’t notice any issues with the mi fit app after iOS updates, I’m only using the band 3 though. I did notice after ios13 that I no longer have to manually sync my data to Apple health though which was a great improvement for me.

Not using iPhone so can't comment but I know OH also uses a different app for his phone too like Switchy mentioned. He got loads of custom faces from the Mi band 4 watch faces app which is really good, snow scenes and hundreds of others, really nice

Main issue is the daily summary of steps from tapping the man inside the orange circle, since 28 Oct I just see a blank blue screen unless I use the history to see the total for the day but not the hourly breakdown of steps. After going to Spain and changing time zones the daily total stopped mid afternoon when the time advanced and cut short my streak. I then had two identical entries per day on the history until I returned home. Minor issues that I can live with.
This vs the huawei band 5?

no. it counts the heart beats every 19 seconds then display the count. you can then start again.
Bought! Didn’t even want one

I just looked and mine is the same lmao thanks for pointing it out I mainly just use the summaries in Apple health so it importing all the data itself was a huge bonus for the way I use it.
