Great price. So close to buying it!
Been following the thread on the rcgroups forum, and there are a couple of issues, one of the worst concerning the tilted horizon visible on the videos, and seems to be unsolvable. But there are reports that DJI's do suffer from this too, although probably less so. At this price there really isn't anything close, but factor in 2 more batteries so maybe another £100.

Yeah but the eBay sellers are chancers, importing them and doubling the price. It is a cracking price, but no warranty outside China.
Have been tempted by this for a while. Was a bit concerned it may be confiscated by customs as not CE marked but seems to be a non issue.
So tempted by this! Was going to go for a Mavic but this deal has thrown a spanner into my thinking...
At this price I would consider a Ehang Ghost 2
Thanks got 2 ..wait .there is a negative narrative around these
What is the law on flying/filming with these? Are they quite easy to fly?
Bought 1 month before £331 and paid £17 parcel force for custom clearing. Great drone and happy. Well have some issue with compass calibration but lots of video for in YouTube for that. Much better then p3 . Almost half of the price of p4.
Tempting!

These have GPS built in with no-fly-zones around airports, prisons etc. As it stands if you're flying recreationally, and receiving no payment, then it's perfectly legal and fine to fly about filming. Don't be looking in people's windows, or filming people sunbathing in their gardens to be safe. IF you plan on making any money from your drone (including YouTube videos) you'll need CAA accreditation, and public liability insurance. You also have to have the drone in sight at all times. Thats to the best of my knowledge and research, I'm no expert.

Flying wise, they're pretty simple. Self levelling, and in beginner mode they limit the speed and height you can travel.
Any customs issues ordering through banggood or do they mark the price down or ship another way that's likely to avoid e.g very slow shipping

You should really have public liability whether using commercially or not.

For a drone like this that can record video or stills the following applies-

The drone must always be kept in sight, and must be flown no higher than 400ft (122.9m), or further than 500m away.

Drone users should not fly near airports or other aircraft.

They should keep at least 50m away from people, vehicles, vessels, buildings or structures, unless these are “under the control” of the drone pilot.

The drone pilot should not fly over or within 150m of a congested area or large gathering of people.

They should also get permission from the landowner of wherever they take off and land.

-------

The drones are easy to fly but you need to be aware of your surroundings. Most crashes happen when your too busy filming and mis judge the height of a tree or building.

Occasionally things do go wrong, compass errors, GPS errors, disconnections which may knock aircraft into Attitude mode. In this state return to home will not function and aircraft may drift in wind. You need to know how to fly manually and get it back you and landed safely.

Tomshop have a special deal on the DJI Phantom 3 today for the same price, why would you buy a cheap copy when you can get the real thing for a similar price?

Maybe because DJI are an absolute joke and I'd rather burn my cash than give them another penny.

DJI go app has been unstable/ broken for android users for months and DJI's response to me was to buy an apple device.

did you chose HK or CN direct for the warehouse dispatch?
It was china warehouse , but shipping tracking number was sent as singapore post, singpost.

Email received from banggood stuck at hongkong customs !!!

Now £320 in gearbest, I've just had an email from them 31839263-HoYQu.jpg
What's the difference between gearbest and BangGood when it comes to shipping then and the likelihood of customs duties? Aren't they both based in similar locations and likely to use similar shipping
For that price you can get Ehang Ghost 2

Who did you order from - Banggood or Gearbest?
i wonder how many of their products actually get stopped by customs as a percentage? I would assume a very small amount with them marking up as very low value and I'd assume the description is very vague. I'm considering the DJi goggles from Tomtop working out at about £370 and with cashback if tracking at about £345 but obviously the customs risk! Worth it? Obviously pay with cc

yea. if customs stop, they gonna sent u a letter with vat and parcel force service charge. ( If its sent by regular / registered mail) . u can pay online then they gonna deliver. if u choose not to pay then probably it gonna returned. dont know anything about if gearbest cancell order or refund.
i really want to order one but the cheapest at the moment is £338 on gearbest, would rather pay in the £200's like all the previous deals but they look like black Friday and cyber Monday deals i don't really want to wait until then though
