I've been using Xiaomi earphones since the early Pistons days and these are easily the best yet.

There is no competition price wise and I've just bought another pair.

Voted hot but Crazy how you can now get a decent pair of Bluetooth earphones at this price
Edited by: "mystrd" 1st Oct
Hot! Just ordered a pair to use with my oculus, finding I'm getting too hot/sweaty with my current over the ear headphones so have been using the original pistons instead recently.

I'd highly recommend people get some replacement memory foam tips for them, they make any in ear headphone extreemly comfortable.

Something like this:

I've been using the same pair of Xiaomi earphones for about... God... it must be 5 years now. I imagine they are an earlier version of these.

The only criticism is that the rubber cap things aren't very good so I might buy a pair of these newer ones and some of these foam things. Is it true that they don't last very long though? The tips that is?
Thanks to this site I bought a pair of yobola Bluetooth tooth headphones for using with my redmi 4x and I'm very impressed. Mostly for light music listening rather than phone calls, but they've work really well for for calls, with my ageing ears it improves the quality enormously!

I think if you use them every day with a lot of use they last about a month, the ones I've linked have been on my oculus (which admittedly has had daily beat saber use...) and my airdots I use for sleeping and I haven't had to change them over the last 2 months. So I'd expect 3 months min use unless you're a heavy user.

Give them a punt though, well worth the cost.

Anywhere in the UK that has them? Apparently there's a lot of fakes online.
Got mine from here:

Genuine and shipped fast
Bit annoying that these headphones have an audio jack rather than USB C when most Xiaomi Mi phones don't support it.
Perfect for using the Xbox controller and not wanting a headset, heat from me.
Better than any beats products
Are these better than the anker ear buds? The anker ones keep falling out my ears no matter what size bud I use
Thank you for posting @broke_with_expensivetaste we have added this thread to the Highlights section
I've had three sets of Xiaomi headphones. I would say they are pretty decent but way over rated.
I honestly prefer my ancient Skull Andy earbuds.

I also had one set of piston 3's fail on one side (common complaint) and the replacement set frayed the Kevlar cable sheath.

The Kevlar sheath also transmits the sound of friction, which is a flaw.

Best set, was the first pair, which were piston 3 youth editions with the flat cable design. Lost the bloody things!

Have you tried using memory foam ear buds? They will help immensely.
Are these any good for running?
i bought a cheap pair with these kind of in ear rubber tips and every step I took caused a thud in my ears as the impact shook the earpiece.

I'm currently using a sports pair from poundland that sound awful.

I'd like a pair that are good for running that don't cost lots because I don't use them that much. Recommendations?

Thanks.

Buy from rohgammanu's link. To check whether it's genuine, pop it open and see the soldering inside. You should see two prominent soldering balls. More info here: journeymantoolbox.pt/201…mp/

I bought them out of curiosity and even recabled them.

They are decent, have nice highs/treble however the sounds of the Xiaomi's are superior in my opinion. The Xiaomi's has richer bass whilst not being muddy and the comfort is alottt better compared to the Sony's. With a microphone/volume buttons included I'll say the Xiaomi's are a better buy for 11 quid. I paid £9 in total for the Sony's + cables.

I will keep the Sony's as back ups.

That's just my 2 cents

If you wanted mic the MH750 is a better choice. If you think, and like, anything that has richer bass than the MH755 then I guess you're a massive basshead. Comes down to preferences in the end.

I don't think I'm a bass head...everything just sounds better on the Xiaomi's to me. The tips are better sealed in the ears and comfort is obviously really important. Sony's are decent for comfort but not to the level of these.

The mic isn't a big deal to me personally either but for 11 quid its the best bang for buck imo.

Like you said it comes down to preference. Just giving my thoughts since i have both now to compare.
