Unlikely you will be charged tax but there is still a chance. But like the lottery.

Is this better than one plus 5t?

With not a whole lot to separate both phones in terms of pricing, it all comes down to what your priorities are. If you want a device that offers a clutter-free software experience, fast updates, and a 3.5mm jack, then the OnePlus 5 is the phone to get. If you're instead looking for a device with a futuristic design, better camera, and all-day battery life, the Mi Mix 2 is a better choice.

I've paid tax several times but they offer insurance for a few quid and you can claim it back. Always got it back

You forgot Jelly and grounding on the OP5

Showing at £421, it look like the deal is done.

that's a shame, I'd have bought this.

Incredible price for this phone.

Bought this when it first came out and quite happy with it.

OP5T tempted me but upon seeing the reviews: the cameras are not up to par even with the dual setup, no SD card slot and I'm not a die-hard AMOLED fan so staying with the Mix 2.

That said, if you want to tinkle with your phone's software then OP5T is the better choice with loads of dev support. Xiaomi are painfully slow in releasing kernel source codes and people have already lost interests in supporting the Mix 2. You can get AOSP ROMs for the Mix, but the bugs have little chance of getting fixed without kernel source codes.

356 here

Only recently ordered this for £379 via the aliexpress sale a couple of weeks ago. Still not received, wish I'd waited.

You need to set location to UK for the £342 price to show, at least it did for me

The fact it was showing at £421 may have been an indicator it was already set to the correct region, but I could be wrong.
I Checked back this afternoon to find it now showing the deal price after refreshing the page/ the question is now should i get one of not?

In my experience, they're a bit slower than Aliexpress. I'm not sure about Geekbuying though.

Is it global ROM?

Is it global ROM?

Absolutely no idea, that's the one thing holding me back from purchasing.

Post #140 in this XDA post mentions Global ROM.

I have been waiting for my phone for almost 5 weeks with express delivery. The parcel was shipped 31 days after placing the order (express delivery). Today I was surprised by DHL message asking to pay extra £36 duty charges - I paid extra for Duty insurance they offered.

Not yet. I'm trying to sort it out with LightInTheBox but all I got so far was information that I would have to send it back to China and it will be expensive. The main point is they didn't send it until 28.11.2017 - order was made on 27.10.2017

I know most people wont have this kind of experience, but I can tell you, this has been the worst experience with any of China based online shops I've dealt so far.
