sam_of_london, are you feeling okay? This is your 3rd Chinese phone deal (from a Chinese seller) in 2 days despite having repeatedly criticised these deals in the past saying things like; sellers are Chinese hackers who install viruses, hassle of waiting 2-3 weeks, they have no UK warranty, are subject to additional charges etc. You've even suggested that people promoting Chinese phone deals are actually Chinese citizens or employees who aren't in the UK. This is £400+ and another you posted is £300+ but no mention of VAT+customs yet you'll comment on a deal below £200 saying don't forget to add those charges.

Nearly as expensive as Galaxy S8 and doesn't come with valid warranty. Is not a standard model. Will not have same support as Samsung. Will not have resale value. So extremely cold.

I vote negative for phones without B20 and with spyware hidden in …I vote negative for phones without B20 and with spyware hidden in official stock ROM . This phone has B20 and no spyware.

You do more than just that . You have specifically criticised the retailers themselves for installing malware/spyware (especially Gearbest) and accused other members on this site for being commission agents and employees if they post these deals. In order to validate your accusations, you said you've received an email from Gearbest asking you to post here and be paid hotukdeals.com/com…819 You've also said that people are selling their soul to the devil for profit when dealing with them, yet you've posted 2 Gearbest deals in the past.

You've criticised Xiaomi even when spyware and B20 is a non factor:
hotukdeals.com/com…062
hotukdeals.com/com…778

Even when the deal is completely unrelated to Chinese sellers, you'll still criticise them:
hotukdeals.com/com…515
hotukdeals.com/com…522

You mention spyware hidden in official stock ROM yet you continue to ignore comments about this exact issue on your Umidigi thread: hotukdeals.com/dea…277 And then you'll say "the jury is still out"< because it hasn't been released yet but you'll find no problems with criticising other brands for the exact same thing, even if it's a pre-order.

On many occasions, you've displayed your bias against Chinese phones even when it has B20 and no incidences of spyware. You even slated OP3 for cutting corners and said it will be wasting battery because it has LTE bands which are unsupported in UK: hotukdeals.com/com…100 By your logic, unsupported LTE bands = battery drain so then how bad is the battery drain for this Xiaomi if it has at least 20 LTE bands which aren't used in UK?

You seem to have all time in the world to criticise me. This phone is not …You seem to have all time in the world to criticise me. This phone is not tailor made for this country but will still work due to support for all the global bands . Those which lack UK bands do not work correctly or miss B20 do not get good reception. The more optimized the hardware and software , the better its performance . Get it into your thick head now.

The amount of times I have pointed out your comments, is nothing compared to the amount of times you've criticised other people for their deals and opinions. I'm sure you must be aware that I am not the only person who has noticed your biased opinions. You comment suggests lack of B20 = poor reception yet you've lied to others repeatedly in the past by saying no B20 means it's a mini tablet and won't work in UK. Apparently pointing out your lies, hypocrisy and baseless accusations means I have a thick head

Looks a bargain compared to the iPhone x

I am saying this as I know. Look at Samsung Galaxy S7 edge still selling at £350.
What phone do you use yourself? Are you gonna buy this? Stop luring other people in to something that doesn't even have warranty.

All the specs seem decent except for the 1080p 408ppi screen.

Have u ever actually used a mobile phone warranty?? Iv had atleast 10 phones and never used it once. That's what insurance is for.

Great specs and lovely screen but who would spend that level and not buy major brand here in UK?

Does it not have a valid warranty or is it just that you'd have to ship it back to China to make a claim? Obviously that wouldn't make sense for a £100 Chinese phone but maybe it would for something of this value?

You're asking the wrong person. His comment is based on opinion and not facts. Although, it does have a warranty but you'd need to send it back to China.

I'm on the app but I can't see how to quote someone's comment but to the person who said it was a 1080 screen it's a 2k screen from the description in the op

?? I've been watching the mix1 over the last few weeks as I am in the market for a new phone. They keep their value very well on eBay, else I would have bought one. They're a massive brand and highly regarded. Personally went for the OnePlus5 from BG but only due to price.

Ludicrous to suggest paying over £400 for a phone direct from China! Great specs are fine, but how many supposed "great phones" be been pretty down by reliability issues? These haven't been around long enough to suss that. Great phone if you're somewhere where you can buy actually have the option of usable warranty, but for a direct import at this price PLUS import duties it's Cold from me.

Nearly everything looks like a bargain compared with the new iPhone, but that certainly does not make it a bargain! Once VAT is added this will be a very expensive cell phone.

Well done. Do you want a gold star? I've been watching numerous Xiaomi phones on eBay and all holding value but this thread is about the Mix line. For info, the Mix1 is £350ish new on BG and selling for over £300+ on eBay second hand. But you stick to your Samsung

I have, three times. Sony warranty for the 'self-cracking screen' feature on the Z3, an LG G4 for being all over the shop with its battery and my Samsung S6 Edge for putting lovely big stripes across the screen. Actually, now I think about it, that's my last three phones. Personally, I wouldn't be without a warranty now. Insurance is one thing, but there's excesses, no claims, all that nonsense to deal with. But as they say, you pays your money and you takes your choice.

In my defence, I did say I'd give you your point about the warranty but, although it obviously wouldn't be as easy to claim from as your precious Samsung warranty, Yes, that is what I'm telling you. I probably couldn't be bothered though, I'd get it repaired in town. The re-sale value will be good, as is the re-sale value of most xiaomi phones. Of course it's a standard phone, although, admittedly not to the UK. And by support, do you mean software updates? If so, xiaomi are among the best. Can you explain why my xiaomi Mi5 got updated to Android 7 about 3 months before my wife's galaxy s6? The fact is, you're a Samsung fan who doesn't really know what you're talking about. Oh, and I'm not your mate.

Hot for me, considering how difficult to get this phone even in China. I was looking at this yesterday but it is £70 more expensive so I leave it.

Cons: No double lenses, poor LCD even 2k and back fingerprint sensor

but the price, specs and design of the phone will blow the cons away easily.

I am also fuious that how many people had their phone sent back to the manufacturer or not having phone insurance.
Edited by: "lianghe1984" 19th Sep

Just a warning;

"Also note that the official images of the Mix 2 are quite misleading – they show a phone with an 88.8% screen to body ratio, a 7.5% exaggeration by Xiaomi."

Second hand phones have no warranty either

Cracking price to be honest. Don't understand the hostility towards purchasing genuine branded Chinese phones like Xiaomi, you'd think all these people worked for Samsung and Apple If people are looking for reassurance in buying direct from China, I personally bought my oneplus 5 from gearbest and it came in a week with full tracking and no customs charges. 👌

Cant we all just get along, Mmm?

Good make, cracking specs and half the price of the iPhone X, its just a LOT of cash to risk sending over the China, customs could catch it so price could go up, warranty is worldwide and they have service centres in the UK you can send it to, i dont get all the posturing on here just lately, is it a good deal when you look at it, yes it is, is it risky, yes it is....cold light of day = HEAT!

Great phone with great price, but if I'm paying in excess of £400 then I'd want some form of warranty. I have multiple Xiaomi devices at home and none has given me problem as yet, but not willing to gamble £400.

If I need to pay at least £120 on top for the insurance plus the excess money when making a claim then the phone will cost ~£600, I will not spend that amount of bones on a Chinese phone

Anyone purchased a phone recently with such good specs for less?

* I have also never had to use a phone warranty in over 20 years, but with the technology getting so much more advanced, it might be regarded as a must have for some.

Good point. But what I'm trying to say is most people have insurance with their banks anyway which covers you for travel, tablets phones gadgets etc. So in effect your not paying £120 for this specific phone.

One of the specifications to take into consideration too is Display screen

iPhone 7 Plus ~401 ppi pixel density
OnePlus 3T ~401 ppi pixel density
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 ~403 ppi pixel density
Samsung Note 8 ~521 ppi pixel density
Google Pixel XL ~534 ppi pixel density
LG G6 ~564 ppi pixel density
