There shouldn't be any import charges buying from here and you'll have peace of mind from the typical Amazon support. I even live chatted with them and they spoke English which was easier for me as my Spanish isn't great.

It's only the 64gb model, and it costs a bit more than the Asian versions (or does it, after their import charges?). Beautiful phone though. Not as nice as the first one in my opinion, but still very nice while being tonnes cheaper than the big dogs.

Why are you comparing a second hand phone you bought( not available to everyone) to a brand new handset from Amazon?
Why does HUKD attract idiots?

Can't seem to edit the post on the app, but it's coming out to £460 with standard shipping. That'll teach me to try and convert in my head.

Edit: £462 with express shipping!

I tried buying from them yesterday and their site wouldn't accept my UK address when checking out. Also demanded a Spanish phone number and would not let me change the country code to +44

I suspected they might block UK orders. Cheers for that. If I do decide to go for it, Amazon ES it is then 😙

I have just purchased the Mi A1 and it has a fault, the 3g/4g signal is weak and fluctuates. I looked online and found endless complaints about this problem. Hopefully this phone doesn't suffer the same issues.

Will you have to send it back to China or will you be able to claim through your credit card or PayPal?

Exactly. Why does HUKD attract idiots? Idiots who would spend over £ 400 on something called Xiaomi? You know which car I drive? It's called Sonami. Never heard of it? Same is the response your brand spanking Xiaomi would get even from your own family

Apart from the connection issue, it really is a great phone. If the connection fault could be solved I wouldn't hesitate to keep it and recommend it.

Xiaomi is the 5th largest phone
Maker in the world I believe.. not alot of people heard of them because they have not broken through UK market. If I was working on a budget for a high spec phone I would defo go for xiaomi phone. Only downside is warranty I understand why people get worried.

If you research Xiaomi this is a quality brand just unknown in the UK - I have had one for a couple of years and just pre-ordered the Mix 2 directly for £156 . Never had a problem and get this delivered in 5 days through DHL once launched on 22/11 Must be mad to pay over £400

Okay to put this in perspective, I had a Samsung S6 which I pre ordered and the camera lens glass broke within the first 2 weeks which was a common problem with this model after I contacted Samsung and EE. They both fobbed me off saying unfortunately it's not covered under warranty and that I'd have to pay for the repair so from my experience UK warranty ain't worth the paper it's written on!

I won't get into the Xiaomi v Samsung debate in terms of specs, quality etc, because I don't enough about either of the two phones concerned and I really don't want to research them either as I don't need a new phone. However, if you think Samsung support in the UK is something to crow about, I would suggest you experience them first. Samsung uses a third party for their support and they are utterly abysmal. Their first response almost every time is that it's customer damage. They claimed this even when a battery in a Samsung S2 Pro tablet (sealed battery remember) bulged out like nobody's business, despite only being charged using Samsung chargers. Only under the threat of legal action to the CEO of Samsung did they back down.

Apart from the glossy appeal of a Samsung, I think their build quality is dire anyway. So I wouldn't touch a Samsung with a barge pole.

Whilst I'd concur if this was a grey import with no warranty, it is a different story here as they are officially selling in EU territory. Xiaomi have more phone sales than Sony or Motorola, if I recall correctly. Your ignorance does show but I think you are just trolling here.

Can't say I agree with you there; the S8 has better cameras, waterproofing, wireless charging and best in class display.
