Finally a decent price for the black version!
Customs fees to UK?
Can't find them on quidco/tcb - any suggestions?

Been removed, sorry.

Still a good find, though. Heat added

I know, I'm gutted tool last time I looked they were on there. The b's
ordered using the 10% off.

If they fulfil it, still a bargain at £379 - good work Mr Switch - noticed you post a few deals on phones.

Respect is long overdue.

Yes that one is very intriguing.
Can imagine it being priced quite a bit above this.
Hopefully I'm totally and utterly wrong.

I am on the lookout for a good deal on the Mi6... my wife's got the Mi5, and I'm really impressed with it, she loves it too. I didn't know that Xiaomi was going to release the Mi8 (why skip Mi7?!?), but this is potentially a good news, I might get a good deal for the Mi6! I find the Mi Mix2s too big.. heat added btw!

Apparently its to fall in line with Xiaomi's 8th anniversary but not sure how true that is.

Fingers crossed for you! It should drop fairly quickly after the release of the 8!

I was hopimg you would say that

That's not bad. I was hoping it would be below £500 so worth it for me judging by the leaked specs.

Vivo have done a phone with a finger print scanner in display but as you said, I'm sure it did have teething problems.Huawei have done a Porsche P20 too with one but not sure if released yet.

Hopefully it's been tested enough to work out any bugs or if it it does have bugs they can be sorted through software updates and it's not a hardware issue.

Xiaomi pricing tends to follow previous phone model prices so i would expect them to be similar to the MI 6 at launch which were the 6gb/64gb 2499 RMB = £293 and the 6gb/128gb 2899 RMB = £340 and the ceramic model 2999 RMB = £352 of course you will not be able to get them for those prices initially because of 3rd party (gearbest, aliexpress etc) mark up, and if my memory serves me right it was around £380 for the lower model and £450 for the £128gb. The MI6 launched in April 2017 and i had to wait until July before i could get the 6gb/64gb near to the launch price in a Banggood sale.for £298. The Mi Mix 2 was the top flagship xiaomi followed by the Mi 6, and i would expect that to remain the case so the MI 8 should be cheaper than the MI Mix 2s .
Of course if there are 8gb models then they would be dearer again

Thanks for that! I'd be very happy if that trend continues!

I'll be keeping a keen eye out on the launch on Thursday as I do think I'll be going for the Mi8 if all leaked specs turn out to be true.

Yeah I was just reading up on it too, thanks for copying me in on the specs above... the explorer edition does look really nice... I wonder what gearbest etc. mark up will be.

If it's around the £500 mark or just under I think I'll defo bite!

Just had a look on aliexpress and the explorer edition is listed at $999
I'm assuming/hoping that this price will drop on release??

Geekbuying have the standard Mi8 listed for around £450 I think it was.

Personally i'd give it a week and see what happens it is about £150 above launch price and it should become more competitive when others start to list and that's why i haven't posted the standard deal even with code and paying in dollars it is still a little high for my liking. That explorer model though what a lovely looking phone if it was Samsung or Iphone you'd be talking a grand

Yeah, I nearly went for the Oneplus 6 but really glad I waited now... it really does look like a great phone!
