I still would.

Nice
Absolutely fantastic phone. It's bulky and heavy but that makes it feel well built. Cannot fault it at all for this insane price.
Bought it. Many thanks. Hope it's stays a reliable phone for the upcoming years.

Still in shock at how they can sell a Snapdragon 855 based phone with UFS 2.1 storage and an AMOLED screen for sub £250. Then you add 5g into the mix and it's even more incredible.

Snappy 855 + Uk warranty + under £250 = MADNESS!

I've been on the fence about this or the 9T Pro for a while now. I can't resist this at £240 though. Bought 👌
Can I just warn everyone of a major bug in this phone - there is weird power drain when using 5g might have been fixed in the newest update. You can fix the power drain by forcing 2g/3g/4g only
I've been using one for a month or so. All in all I'm very impressed. The stock camera app is poor though, some terrible pics. Managed to side load a semi working gcam app. Pics amazing now but video crashes the app so have opencamera for video. No way to link these to the double tap power button shortcut which is annoying.
I don't use the selfie camera much but isn't always easy sliding the screen down.
Battery life seems pretty standard. Lasts me a day but no more
Screen is excellent and MIUI is pretty decent, I like it much more than I thought.
One other thing I noticed with the stock camera is if I double tapped the power button to open it, then took a few pics then pressed again to relock the phone, is go into photos and sometimes all or some of those pics never saved. Perhaps I relocked too early not sure.

I've had that happen a 2-3 times particularly overnight. Thought it was just one of those random things.

No mate it's a crappy bug they haven't fixed.
Also two other things worth knowing - the speaker isn't very loud compared to other phones I've had. The earpiece one is fine though. The other thing is vibration seems pretty weak, I often miss calls when in my pocket

Thanks, I'll change to 4G and see if it stops

Maybe it is looking for the non existent 5G tower to latch onto ? so spending more power !
IS this dual sim and what other 4g bands it supports ?

Exactly. But it should know once it cant find it, switch to 4g. It's a smartphone, right?

No, single SIM. This is the UK version so think it has everything to cover all UK networks

This mi mix or mi 9t for similar money?
Any advice? Thanks

Ok. It's enough compared to other phones I've had. I charge once per day usually and generally ok.
It's definitely not impressive but pretty average

This mi mix or mi 9t for similar money?Any advice? Thanks

Mix 3 5G:

Better processor
Nicer looking design (my opinion)
Ceramic back

Mi 9T:

Better camera setup
Lighter and thinner

It all matters about what you value. Personally for the 855 I'd go for either the 9T Pro or the Mix 3 5G. The 9T is great but has a midrange chipset, the 855 is a flagship chipset.

I've been uhmming and aahing over the Mix 3 5G vs Mi 9T Pro. I've always dreamed of owning a Mix device, and so this for £240, compared to the £320-350 the Mi 9T Pro seems to hover at (for UK/EU sellers), made this choice a no brainer.

PS. Managed to sell my old Samsung for £250, so I actually made a tenner profit buying this! Insane.

I have one, phone is heavy . Battery life is ok but cam have days when it drains quickly, restart it once a day and it seems ok. Have some issues with SMS message alerts when using a third party app , sorted now but had to change some settings
This or the mi 8 note pro ? Photo quality? Megapixels aren't everything :/
Have the 4g version of this. It's heavy, but the camera is fantastic. The night mode brings some amazing results especially. 12meg pics, but great Sony lens and big light gathering pixels. And notch? What notch?? Paid £300 for mine few months ago and just loving it.
