Sony only the current manufacturer trying (successfully) to fill that gap. I say successfully only because of the current freebie they are offering, when that offer finishes, it will just be another overpriced sony (xperia 5) (y)How are you?

I'm fine thanks. I think back to my first smart phone, an Orange San Fransisco!!! Using Modoco to get custom ROMs! I thought then I can't ever imagine having anything bigger than a four inch phone.

Bought my current phone with them ( about a year ago ) - no issues, delivery took about 5 working days.

Considering Mi Mix 3 myself now, just not too sure about that slider.
Well done switchy. I bought the Mi MIX2 on your recommendation and highly delighted with it. I'd go for this but the only thing that puts me off is the size. The MIX2 is 5.99 inches, which is about my limit. Why are manufacturers Going for bigger and bigger screens?

I'm not entirely sure that's why - I think there's an echo loop. People buy phones because they're better or the latest, I think it might be they happen to be bigger, but that's what manufacturers take from the trend, everything has to be more. We must be hitting peak non-foldable though, surely.

Peak has to be mate 20x, anything more is humungous.

THAT's not humungous?

Na, I find it quite manageable

The Nokia 7 Plus is about the absolute biggest footprint I'd want, obviously I'm happy with as much screen they can fit in that, in fact, ideally slightly smaller.

I went down to an LG G6 when I my N7+ went in for repairs and not missed the screen size at all.

Slider is something you won't even notice. I use it more or less daily (I have a back case so when sliding the phone down the back case allows protection still). Great phone, had it for ages. Mr Switch knows!
Snapdragon 845 for this price? Sorry, cold for me.
Great price for a great phone, good find Switch!

One thing to take into consideration; if you're anything like me and drop your phone 6000 times a day, it's difficult to find a tough case for it. Can only find cheapo rubber things or magnetic ones.

Why? What SD855 phone can you get for this price? This is the best sub £300 available, taking into account camera quality, battery life, fast wireless charging etc. Not to mention no notch at all and thin bezels resulting in a gorgeous display.

All reviews have given 4.5-5* or 9-10/10.

No offence but most here that buy the latest processor make no use of it. @MrSwitch can back me up on this phone, especially at this price. I have no shares in Xiaomi before you ask, I simply think this price is solid for this phone.

Thanks! How does it compare to the one supplied with the phone? I have bought four cases and all are only marginally better than the supplied case. Very little shock absorbong abilities!

K20 6GB
I had the Mix 2, now the Mix 3. The difference in size is not much (except the thickness I guess, but, in fact, the width is a tiny bit less), although the difference in weight is definitely noticeable. The slider is a plus overall, gives you quick camera access and causing no issues (no, I don't drop my phone all the time so I never had huge cases). I don't miss anything from the Mix 2 (huge updates in things like cameras etc), except the battery - the Mix 3 lasts less. I have no idea how gsmarena gives such a low battery endurance rating on the Mix 2, it definitely lasts longer than the Mix 3 (or my partner's S8) - usually full 2 days easy, whereas the Mix 3 has to be charged every night. The Mix 3 5G with the large battery is interesting, a shame you lose US network coverage...
