Unlike Samsung, it is written in Xiaomi's constitution that they never make more than 5% mark up on their phones. Hence one of the reasons you will always get more bang for your buck with Xiaomi. But don't assume these are inferior phones, they really aren't. Beautifully put together and very reliable if the more than 10 Xiaomi's currently being used by my extended family are anything to go by.

Plus they really support their phones - my wife's almost 2 and a half year old Redmi Note 4 got the latest MIUI upgrade last week (the design is actually over 3 years old). Highly recommended.. A 30 billion dollar company built on keeping their customers happy (so they recommend to others) as opposed to blanket advertising so they really do concentrate on customer happiness.

400 quid will get you a LOT of spec with Xiaomi.

Yep, there'll be a lot of people hold off for precisely that reason...

You will probably hate the skin/os on Xiaomi's

One UI is better on the Samsung but I always recommend a pixel/one plus range to get the best clean experience for someone who is new to Android
There are better phones available for the price.
The 108MP sensor seems a bit of a gimmick. The photos I've seen aren't great and they're over 50MB in size.
Not bad price. £450 for green, black, white models on czech market, 2 year warranty, £520 can get you the 8gb/256gb model, all 3 colours, same warranty. (you'd need to buy a weekend break in Prague of course)
€414 (£355) on AliExpress from Mi Zealer Store.

Use our good old friend Google I'd say.
I want this!
Just watched few reviews and want this phone so much right now, but will wait mid next year till price drop as its only just been released. Camera wise its mentions as top along Mate 30 then S10 and Iphone 11 with only problem being this soc that takes time to process pics made in full 108mp. But still this phone being half the price, then as well Mate now comes without google play store.

But then why is it much cheaper to purchase from AliExpress or Gearbest than the official Xiaomi store?
