Just before sam of London chips in the bands are:

Wireless Connectivity: 3G,4G,Bluetooth,GPS,GSM,WiFi
Network type: GSM+CDMA+WCDMA+TD-SCDMA+FDD-LTE+TDD-LTE
2G: GSM B2/B3/B5/B8
CDMA: CDMA: BC0
3G: WCDMA B1/B2/B5/B8
TD-SCDMA: TD-SCDMA B34/B39
4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B7
TDD/TD-LTE: TD-LTE B38/B39/B40/41

So no Band 20 for the EE network. which to me is essential.....

I may be wrong as I’m confused by the different versions, but pretty confident this phone hasn’t been £100 less.

The Mi Max 2 isn't the same phone as the Mi Note 2.

The Mi Note 2 has considerably better specs, hence the higher price.

So how do you understand their review or comments
I have mi Max it is good with big screen and fast cpu but when you talk on what's up or skpy voice is not good, and important thing is that camera is very bad, there are good and bad side of it, my next phone won't be chines branded, it could be Samsung, lg, Sony but definitely not Chinese

Can't tell if you're being serious or not... Have you watched the video review?
Don't do it!

I bought an Elephone S8 from Gearbest when they launched late last year. It stopped working in January and now Gearbest tell me they'll get around to fixing it in the next month or two because they have so many phones to repair right now.

Which they won't be able to do and will then no doubt offer me a derisory amount for it.
Heat added. Good price

You are assuming Chinese has alphabet, which it doesn't
It has characters. Over 3000 of them and that is just the basic
Don't bother buying anything from gearbest I ordered two phones on two different occasions and they didn't turn up after two months and they refuse to refund me in full shysters keep away from them

Always buy via PayPal or, if the item is over £100, a credit card. That way you're not reliant on GearBest for a refund if anything goes wrong.
I have the Mi Max 2, got rid of my iPhone 6+ last August. Wouldn't go back to Apple now.

I think it might have been November time that 4/64 was, and that was at a much less favourable exchange rate . There were even a couple of freak occasions when it was 180 if coupon used quickly - I had it in my cart but didn’t pull the trigger and lost it .

B20 on ee and three seems to be only for supported Volte devices otherwise you won't have any access to that band anyway. Both carriers has a list of supported devices. Xiaomi phones aren't on the list but not sure if it will work unofficially.
Spending this much money on a phone is madness. Spending it on a US model, with all the risks involved, is double madness. You know it makes sense!
I've never ordered from GearBest before but I've heard certain delivery options hold you in better chances of avoiding customs - saw it a couple of times in a few old comment sections.

My order defaulted to:

Is that okay to choose?

Highly appreciate any help please.

While all bands are useful, EE's core 4G network is built on Band 3. Band 20 is mainly used to provide service for rural areas and for VOLTE. If you don't want to use VOLTE, and you don't live out in the sticks, lack of band 20 probably won't make too much difference.

Hi
I live in Rural North Wales (lucky me!) so B20 is important.....
.....I can only get dialup speed via landline. So rely 100% on the EE 4G network for internet. I get an impressive (imho) 38MB DL and 40MB UL.

I think folks need to know that B20, in certain circumstances, is important.
Cheers
NB
I think we are on the same side here.

Indeed. I think we are both aware of where B20 is needed. I work on the edge of a small town in the North of England, and live in a small village about 5 miles away. In your case, B20 is essential, and in my case, meh. If I lived 10 miles further north, however, I'd live in the Yorkshire dales, and it might be a different story.

Cheers Bro'
God Bless you...may God's Love be with you always.
I have a Redmi 4x with band 20
Wife has a Redmi Note 3 Pro without band 20

Both on EE.

While I would always go for the phone with band 20 where possible, it wasn't an option with my wifes phone at the time.

However in reality, we've both travelled a lot, all over the place with our phones, and I can't think of a single instance where I've had 4G and she hasn't had an equal signal. This includes middle of Wales, remote Scotland, Cornish coast, Ben Nevis, Poland etc. etc. It may have happened, but I certainly wasn't aware of it.
