Snapdragon 660 CPU on this phone. There are more powerful CPUs like the Snapdragon 820 with Xiaomi phones surely like the Xiaomi Mi5

Not to make these all like the laptop ones, but these Chinese phones seem to lack the resolution of phones that are a few years old now

Do you really need a 4k display on a 5.5 inch screen?

I do agree to some extent but 1080p is perfectly fine unless you want vr experience on mobile device. To be honest for my needs I prefer 1080p due to better performance and battery life. Of course depends on the quality of panel used as well some 1080p displays may look better due to colour, contrast and display brightness to name a few quality's.

Perhaps. I think you can tell the difference when looking at photos you've taken. It's one thing that's bugging me, and it's a leap of faith you it's difficult to see these before you buy them

No Band 20, according to the spec on BG, so may be an issue for some.

Any idea how this might compare to a Google pixel 1? I hate my pixel, it's buggy as hell but don't really want to go all out with a s8 or something.

What's the chances of this being here for Christmas?

Isn't Mi Note 2 has the SnapDragon 820 which is better than this? Or have I got myself confused again with their range of Mi phones

Mi Note 2 has snapdragon 821, which is essentially an overclocked 820. This has the SD660, which isn't as fast.

With free delivery, chances are slim. With DHL or similar, chances are good, but I'd bet you'll pick up stone duty charges.

Thanks OP Remember that after spending hundreds of pounds you will have a China based company to deal with on any problems that arise with the phone LOL

So, what you're saying is, because a 5" screen is big enough for you, it must be big enough for everyone else?

Good luck trying to get your money back if there is a fault!

It did look very suspect without the word 'screen'!

You must have a faulty pixel, mine is as smooth as silk.

I somewhat accepted the resolution argument at 720p, but really 1080p isn't enough for people now? Id rather have battery life than text in 4k.

It's not so much that it "isn't enough", but it stands out when you're comparing the old not-even-flagship handsets to the Chinese assortments

Maybe I've been unlucky. I just don't want to go down the whole warranty process if it involves sending the phone off for god k kws how long. I've had half a dozen issues with it so must be quite a few bits wrong with it.
