Nothing special, especially if you get hit with import duty or if you get a fault and have to send it back for repair or refund. Very expensive for those risks when you can buy similar priced laptops here in the UK.

Have to disagree with the "nothing special" bit. I think it's great price for a great laptop. Personally I'm in the hunt for the 15" Pro version, but so far I have not seen anything else that comes close to the build/spec/price combo. Hence I'm happy to take the risks. Please help us out if you know a better one...

There’s not exactly a lot of choice for ultrabooks with discrete graphics especially with this spec: FHD display, SSD, half decent CPU and nice thin chassis from metal. I disagree with ‘nothing special’ too...

It is last/7th gen though hence why it’s a little cheaper than the latest 8th gen ones (big CPU improvement).

Company floats on HK stock market soon. Expect Xiaomi to go global sooner than later
If you check around you will see that the MX150 beats the Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 and likely the 650 too.

For price/performance in ultrabooks this looks amazing value. A fast 1.3KG laptop.
Also of note is that with the USB C port used for charging, I would expect a Xiaomi battery Powerbank can add to portability.

Does it demand USB PD to charge or can you use regular USB-C (3A) like the MacBook? If you have one already that is. Looks like I've missed it now anyway which is just as well. Can't be buying another laptop...
Think the pack would need to also supply the voltage(15V?). So its is PD + voltage.

Quick Charge is also best turned off and used for emergencies, at least in my opinion.

20V is the maximum voltage on PD and it's pretty safe to assume you have that profile if your PD capable charger puts out 30W or more. Agreed though that this laptop likely doesn't charge off dumb 5V 3A over USB-C. I think it's an operating voltage of the CPU thing, the only things I've seen that can charge off 5V use the 4.5W CPUs, meanwhile anything with a 15W U series won't charge. Maybe one only needs 5V to run while the other needs 12V minimum or something?
This is amazing value!
