Pay by credit card or PayPal, and ideally have an bank account that covers warranty on Grey imports

Like I say, I really wouldn't go through with this purchase, unless you are 100% certain you can accept there may be issues.

I'll buy this in a fortnight when it's down to 40 quid.
Looks a beast, heat added.

One can only imagine what the cost of this would be if it had an apple logo on it

Language only Chinese in description
Every app is in Chinese. The OS is in English.
I'd wait for the global version.

But the bezels on it are big
Anyone know how the e SIM will work in the UK?

I'd imagine it works as the bip dies, connects via the app in English
I don't know who I find more annoying. Xiaomi for releasing so many products, or Mrswitch for sharing them.

Must... Resist...
Looks tasty but I won't bite just yet.

Apologies
That's had more hits with the ugly stick than Apples watch
MrSwitch12/11/2019 13:35

Apologies

I was expecting the usual 'Sorry (not sorry)'
Voted hot because I was waiting for another square Wear OS smartwatch to come to the market after years with my Sony SW3. Waiting impatiently for the next cheapest available with some European/UK warranty on Amazon or Ebay or other similar sellers, @MrSwitch

It looks funny in the quote in this reply, because it doesn't space it out. It just says "......Not Better?"

The only logo which is capable of increasing a price to the sky level…
I feel like I deserve the Privilege Black version...
It doesn't matter what specs it has, they don't honour the warranty, had 2 bips, both fell apart, got a galaxy active for very close to this and it's really good and has a warranty.

That was my question too. Do I have to pay for a second contract/number?

Also, would the NFC support Google pay?

I've really no idea.

Go on, treat yourself
Absolutely hideous IMO, but will wait and see what the device can do. Feature wise, if it's got a compatible eSIM, and NFC that works with Google Pay then it's a step in the right direction for sure.
The Snapdragon 3100 really needs to die. 28nm fabrication when the Apple watch is at 7nm. Until there is a better SoC available Android Wear is basically unusable.

I'd buy something like this if it had battery life something like the Bip (7 days+) and NFC that worked with Google Pay... Anything suitable even from other brands? Can't be bothered charging a smartwatch every day when my Bip lasts over a month.
I'm sooo tempted
Good deal op as always
Been waiting for this. Dunno whether to hold off for the global version, however it's rumoured to land until next year.
Is there a distinct need to wait for a global version? Any advice appricated. Will it affect app compatibility, especially with apps unavailable in China (WhatsApp, GPay etc)

Thanks in advance!
good first price..looking forward to seeing some reviews on this

Apps will be chinese. But for the large part menus etc will be english. But apps will still be chinese unfortunately.

Hopefully you can flash roms on this in the not too distant future but I doubt it. I wouldn't expect a global version anytime soon though
OS in English, apps in Chinese looking at this video

Looks worryingly thick 😜

The only confirmation for Apple Watch is for 28nm. Battery life on this might be as bad as on the Apple Watch. Wear really needs to use FDSOI at 14nm.
After having Huawei Watch 1 and 2, I'm not sure I can go back to a square watch (had the Sony SmartWatches before Huawei)

My W2 gets so many compliments still, and this looks a little....boxy?

However if the international ships with Android Wear (which I doubt) I may have a closer look
What an Independent watch
