Gosh that's a good price for that spec, really can't risk no warranty on 350quid but good luck to those who can!
Just to let people know, it doesn't look like there is an actual official global rom for this phone. Means that this is a vendor rom posing as an official rom and will probably have multiple issues and brick upon updating via OTA.

The Mi 6 is NOT releasing in India and international markets so I don't think this will have global firmware any time soon.
brilliant phone but cold again from me far to much money to have delivered by china snail mail if it goes wrong could be a very expensive brick.awesome phone great specs great price but far to risky
what about import duties payable??
too much to risk and still only 1080 screen?

Bought plenty of phones of ali express before without any issues. Plus this is from the official Xiaomi store.

Beats the Samsung Galaxy S8 in most departments apart from the screen. Higher benchmark scores than any phone on the market at this moment in time.

There is no actual official xiaomi store. Also, there is no official global rom for this phone.

TBH, screen and camera are such important factors when purchasing a new phone. Until a budget Chinese firm can source high quality peripherals , I'll stick to my well known named brands.

Xiaomi are not a budget Chinese firm. They are the the biggest phone manufacturer in asia and renowned brand!

But they are not interested in selling to UK or Europe. They have no model for UK or Europe and offer no warranty here. There are Chinese brands like Oneplus , Huawai and Zte which have UK/ European models and offer warranty in Europe including UK. All the UK phone models have UK 4g B20 band unlike this phone.

B20 is a minor issue as most networks will have full 4g connection even without the b20 band.
I believe this uses Sony's latest and greatest camera module, and the screen quality is very good... Don't believe the hype that 1080 is not good enough for a 5.15 inch screen. The only arguement might be of you want to use it for VR.

Lots of comments on the lack of warranty... Has anyone actually tested the warranty offered by AliExpress and The Warranty Group? What's the basis for it being worthless?

I believe band 20 makes up most of O2 and Vodafones 4G network (apart from in built up areas), Three use lot of it now for rural locations and building penitration and even EE are rolling out more band 20.

Must admit I'm happy with Three's 3G coverage/speed alone, but want band 20 if I was paying that kind of money.

6gb of ram is not needed in a phone and in real use the camera is not great.

Yes . Keep on living in your fools paradise
Nice phone but the price is all wrong at the moment, probably caused by short supply.

This retails for the equivalent of £280 in the Far East, so £350 makes absolutely no sense.

I suspect that you'll see prices drops on this within the coming months and by early next years, I suspect you'll be able to get it for around £250.
On the subject of waranty would a Premium Bank Account / Phone Insurance cover a breakdown ?
Hey sam you missed out yesterday 2 xiaomi non band 20 phones posted and no comment from you thought our luck wouldn't last as for 2k screens on 5 inch phones total waste of battery life the human eye would not see any difference its more important to have good brightness levels and wider colour gamut and reducing noise which is down to the processing engine the majority of 1080 screens covers these things and hence look as good as a 2k screen on a 5 inch screen without draining your battery

Section 75? This item may have a UK-serviced warranty obligaton if the buyer is able to pay directly using UK credit and show unquestionable debtor-creditor-supplier arrangement as the UK credit provider (e.g. credit card company) will be legally jointly and severally obliged to service the vendor's sale obligations including warranty stated at point of sale. I highly doubt the price would drop that much. The previous model Mi5s is still going strong even after a year from release. The Top model still goes for around £320.

Your relentless effort in reminding the whole community on this very point - on almost every xiaomi phone threads - is nothing short of enlightening and deserves a big applause.

And yes, we got your point.

That is true but not the point Crazy was replying too. Xiaomi is not a budget band, they offer high quality components and build quality. Sinxa... Do agree though that xiaomi not using a higher definition screen on this but I guess the Chinese market is not yet demanding a need for VR.

Your right it is a 1080p screen. But actually you can't tell the difference between 4k, 2k or 1080p on a small screen. If your using VR then yes.
