Fair enough!
Another option is a European seller on eBay at £295 with today's code rover.ebay.com/rov…598

This is what I have gone for, in the blue. Never used the seller before though so will see how it goes!

It is 1year warranty as per description on ebay

Description says 2 year EU warranty ?
My point was in not sure whether that refers to an origami 2 years as if count bought from Xiaomi..... eBay listing implies it the way I read it
For an extra £20 you can get the 9T pro on ebay with code

9T Pro has the same 855 processor but also has a bigger battery and no notch

The 9T pro is thicker, heavier and lacks wireless charging compared to the 9. However the 9T pro has a 3.5mm port. If any of that matters to you!

The great thing about the various mi 9 series phones are they all have different trade offs for different people's preferences but are all great phones.
Ordered this yesterday for my brother. Arrived today and it is clearly an open box return. Not sealed and has their stickers all over it. No power bank included either. This is meant to be new isn’t it?

Not good, i would return it staight away
i see on the website they have refurb units from £332.00 , seems suspect they would send a opened one as new? i noticed you have to add the free power bank to get the deal, it doesn't come with the phone. was it included in the email receipt?

Yeah I did see the refurbs. Mentioned that in the notes on my return. They are refusing to refund the cost of sending it back to them until they find that they are at fault, which I think is a p***take m, so I’ve asked for a refund rather than a replacement. I’ve ordered from Appliances Direct numerous times with no issues but this has left a sour taste.

I didn’t see the option to add the power bank when I ordered on my phone. Checked the desktop site just now and yeah, it’s there. Not made clear on mobile but I’m not too bothered about that really, more annoyed with the used phone.

Hope you get sorted mate, they should really hold their hands up and refund you plus the postage.

They followed up today after I sent a photo. The phone is new but was opened for a “quality check”. Seems that the labels on the box are quality check labels. They have offered a partial refund to be fair to them.

Spoke to Xiaomi and they confirmed that the phone hadn’t been activated yet, so we will be will be keeping it.

Mine is due for delivery tomorrow. I'll watch for the broken seals etc. Any chance that they are imported units. Did you get a UK plug ok.
Can I ask how you went about checking with Xiaomi whether or not the phone was activated?

Yeah seems to be a UK unit. Has a UK Plug.

Go to the link here. They'll ask for your IMEI on the live chat and tell you how much warranty is left (should be 2 years).

Mine had the same seal sticker as that (not the original seal - the box should come in a cellophane wrap) but stickers on the back and fingerprints all over the stuff inside. Can you tell if your box has been opened?

I don't think the box had been opened, there was no cellophane and the phone looks and operates like brand new. I did email them about the power bank, still waiting on a reply.

Mine came today from the eBay seller so 9 days (7 working) total. Box was sealed in cellophane. Doesn't have uk charger and I threw away the dangerous UK adapter they shipped it with. But I plan to get a couple of wireless pads anyway.
