Yes as long as your phone and camera are connected to the internet.

Do you need to give them all your details like names and adress to start ?

No.
Looks good. Wondering how it would do outside but under cover so won't get rain directly on it.
The older v2 models had an outdoor housing you could buy on eBay for about £10. Wonder if there is one for this model?
Does anyone know if this version is compatible with the open firmware to provide an rtsp stream? github.com/ope…are

That would be a real advantage ...especially if someone could explain to the proletariat how to achieve it!

EDIT: changed my mind! Poor review

I use a similar indoor camera under cover and it's been fine. It has enough cover so the rain never gets it
Does this one work outside of China? Had a previous one that kept saying works only in China

You can find cover for it on ebay
Good price, voted hot. Now, some asks if you buy the outdoor cover (about £10) and hide the camera outside. Is it really worth it? Will cost about £30 with the cover, plus drilling the wall, I believe a £50 wireless outdoor Reolink will do a better job and will be less of a hassle.
Unless your wall was drilled already or you have a big bit and the drill and you know what you're doing, paying others to do it for you will not justify the total cost, even the camera is very cheap.

Turns out I had a £4 coupon too, cant go wrong for £13. Cheers OP.
What's the IR wavelength on these?

DO NOT BUY.

There are numerous UK/foreign buyers having bought Xiaomi cctv cameras, saw it work for a while, then turned into a brick at a subsequent software update.

There are numerous threads online of these complaints, alternatively look up the feedback of the app in google play.

reddit.com/r/X…th/
xiaomi.eu/com…70/
xiaomi.eu/com…14/
c.mi.com/thr…tml
etc etc

At the beginning Xiaomi asked users to write to one of their subcontractors, which enabled some cameras to go back online, That service fizzled out in no time. I wrote to them at least 6 times, with neither response nor result.

When I wrote to Xiaomi UK, their answer was if you did not buy direct from them, tough.

Appalling company. Never again.
I've bought one of these but it won't work unless I turn my app to China.

Any way around this?

If your WiFi is good enough to reach outside then they are amazing!
