I'm after a robotic vacuum but I wouldn't trust buying one from overseas.

It's all about risk and reward, I guess. This machine more than hold its own against machines costing 3-4 times as much in the UK. And Xiaomi really do produce top notch stuff at bargain prices. My house is beginning to resemble a Xiaomi showroom - all bought from China with not a hint of trouble with any of it.

Agreed. I have a Xiaomi phone and various other bits of smart home equipment. Well made bits of kit at very good prices.

I was thinking of buying the eufy one made by Anker.

Don't no about that more worried about it being an LSD one!

A friend of ours bought one of these. It was fun to watch a few times as it disappeared under the sofar. It somehow seemed to end up in the same spots in the room each time, sometimes getting stuck. It always missed certain places.
The novelty however soon wore off and it's now collecting more dust on it than in it

I've just bought this exact machine from GearBest (albiet at 219) and it's actually amazing. HIGHLY recommend it.

Not certain but it was an Xiaomi

What happens if it breaks? How does warranty work if it comes from abroad?

Will be a haste and you might be able to post back for repair... But that is reflected in price. This model I think you can but parts and a replacement battery when the time eventually comes. Think if mine does break once arrives can see me ordering a part if available and searching YouTube to see how to fix.

Ordered but tracking is showing singapore post and parcel force handover in uk. It's not left china yet but seeing parcel force makes me think customs and handling will apply?

Anyone purchased this deal and received theirs yet?

Did you pay for a faster shipping method? Based on what you said above I think all you are seeing is that it's been picked up by Singapore post to fly to UK. Parcel force my guess just shows they have paid and generated a tracking number for the order it's likely to sit in customs a couple of weeks normally and disappear from system. By the time parcel force scan at the secure depot near Heathrow and tracking updates for me it's coming around m25 to the local delivery office to try and be delivered next day or two. Can drive yourself mad checking. Mine was Yodel latest order of this was almost exactly a month one day shorter from dispatch.

Think customs have 2 streams fast airmail that's normally high value and more likely to be checked and get charges this sort of postage you normally pay lot more £5 approx or the free cheap mail in another stream. That's surface mail and bulk unsorted airmail which I think gets little checked. But they seem to sit on 3 weeks before waving through.

Thanks for the informative reply. It was ems shipping it charged me something like 3.95 but was the only or cheapest option when ordering.

Parcel force is showing as despatched from origin company. Just not sure if that means customs/handling automatically with PF. I'm sure the value declared will be full as vendor would probably insure it for them selves

I wouldn't worry about it, I would think you would have to be very unlucky. As for them declaring the true value for customs, that's very unlikely to more likely will declare it as a gift and at $20 value. At this stage there's nothing much can do anyhow. My Dad had a charge on a £150 phone from Banggood. That was about £12 including an administration fee of £8

Well it turn up yesterday and all i can say is what a great bit of kit this is.
This does a great job and youl be shocked at the stuff it picks up.
Its going round the ground floor which has carpet wooden floor and tiles in the diffrent rooms.
Best buy of the year for me.

Personally I will be steering clear of Bangood for anything costing more than a few quid, as a friend of mine has just lost over £400 when an order from them arrived as just an empty box! These things can happen, but Bangood are not interested at all...they blame the post office and when he called them they said it was up to Bangood to notify the loss...He's pretty angry.
