had a few diff brands before, Xiaomi seems to offer the best value for money.
Have switched to Xiaomi for router, repeater, e-scooter, humidifier, you name it... lol
NOT A UK PLUG. A UK 'ADAPTOR'
I don't really trust the brand and where it's made or who owns the brand and definitely where the servers are based... It's the whole 5G challenge

It does depend how you have configured your LAN, I have an inner, wired only network with its own, non routable, address range that connects to the main router via a VPN router. I clearly wouldn't be adding this to that inner network, but added to the outer network, it would be fine. All traffic to and from the VPN router is encrypted. As with 5G, if you have end to end encryption, all the intermediate or otherwise connected equipment has a DoS/DDoS attack. Clearly the outer network is exposed - so can only be used as a "guest" zone - anything in it that needs to be secure has to have its own VPN router/tunnel.

But then, if you are happy to send emails, unencrypted, then you probably aren't worried to much about foreign powers and backdoors - the front door is wide open.

Thank you for the info.. However I still rather pay £100 for a Ubiquiti.. and not something not even ment for the UK market..

Does anyone know what the rough turn around time is for customs clearance in the UK? Ordered from AliExpress, item landed in the UK on the 22nd and not picked up by RM yet.
