A really nice filament smart bulb from Xiaomi. It is 700 lumens so should be bright enough!
Works with Google assistant and Apple Homekit and I think Alexa could control it as well.
It's an E27 socket and not compatible with the Bayonet one. It's worth to check your socket before you buy this bulb.
Use code OBING as a new user and the price should be £8.72 delivered!

Nice review:

Few things to consider before you go ahead:

  • Pay by credit card or PayPal so you could be protected in the case if something goes wrong
  • use a fee-free card and pay in USD to save a bit more
  • Delivery sometimes could be long especially now due to the Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak. The virus doesn't survive long on an object and you can find out more about the latest updates of Coronavirus by clicking HERE!

Yep completely correct, they work a treat.
Heat added
As long as you don't mind making the bulbs a bit longer then ES to Bayonet adaptors are pretty cheap.

Agree, they work well but not everybody likes them.
I'm in two minds about these. I do like the filament design but I think the white base is still too prominent to purposely want to show the bulb off.

For lamps I'd choose to use a regular led filament bulb and a smart plug.

Seems a good price, bought 2 thanks OP. Now just have to wait the 20-40 days for delivery
I own this bulb, it isn't one that you would want to show off.

The point of clear glass filament bulbs is to help create hard shadows (the smaller the light source the harder the shadow). A frosted bulb will make a softer light with less contrasting shadows. I like clear bulbs in lamps near the walls to create contrasting light on to the wall that will then reflect off the wall making soft light into room.

To this end these bulbs are an improvement over other led smart bulbs but, due to the three led filaments still being largish they are not a patch on a halogen bulb for crisp shadow contrast.

Is anything even getting out of China at the moment?

Nope ... One of my suppliers says the 10th before things start to be picked up by courier but there's a back log as everyone has been staying at home
Are these new and likely to drop in price?
What's happened to the other Yeelight deals? I bought quite a few some time ago when they were popping up for under a tenner, now the deals aren't even posted anymore?

Had notification that my order is now in this country. Anyone else received theirs yet?
Mine arrived on the 3rd in the end and I have to say i'm impressed with them so far. Dont miss the RGB of my other Yeelight bulbs, and the filaments look as good as any of the other ones like Ikea etc.
Fully controllable with Alexa, only gripe was they needed firmware updates which stopped half way through and I needed to re-add the bulbs back into the app.
