It's not the best camera but a lot of reviewers probably didn't notice that the camera is not on high settings by default. Xiaomi love their aggressive power modes.

Open the camera app and select "Options" then "Settings Wheel" then scroll down to "Picture Quality" and change it from "Standard" to "High". Voila, better pictures

The link also shows the 32Gb version possibly for £105, but can't seem to get it to show..

an absolute steal. Heat added.

Via TCB for £7. Picked up one earlier from Team Eternal for same price.

If it had been the grey or black, that would have been closer to a steal i think..

The Eternal one is a £1 more, a right rip off!!

It was $160. Guess they sold their stock and you're now looking at a more expensive version. I also paid £122. Revolut exchange always seems to give a better rate.

Its still the same price by the looks of it $160.99 on Eternal, just the choice of exchange rate making the difference, It was just easier on this deal to show £, but its actually $159.99 if you have a Halifax clarity or Revolut like you have.
Given that its only £10 more than the 32gb version, bit of a no brainer to get the 64gb.

Have you ever looked at AliExpress or ever purchased from the site? sale.aliexpress.com/buy…htm

Pretty much the same protection as ebay. Maybe more until you confirm delivery was ok as they don't pass on the funds to the seller until confirmed or a timer runs out.

A great phone plus it gets regular updates unlike some of the other manufacturers.
My one got another update 2 days ago and this version of Nougat now supports voLTE on ee contract sim cards even though ee don't have it listed as a supported phone.

I've purchased before from a seller on AliExpress got a box full of rolled up cardboard!

It was supposed to be a phone

Would have replied sooner but was laughing my **** off.

It doesn't look like this one comes with a UK warranty. It's a great phone. There are some companies who sell these with UK warranty. You have to send your phone Germany if anything goes wrong in the warranty period but they refund you the shipping if it's considered as a warranty repair.
I bought two of these, one for my wife and one for me.

Most reviews say they are great phones but let down by the cameras, still good value but I guess you have to pay a lot more for a great camera.

Brilliant phone and I've got no issue with the camera, takes great photos

I have been using this beast for about 5 months it's an amazing phone I paid £160 for it and it was well worth it

Yep love mine , just put it on charge, first time since thursday, the first phone I have had where I just leave everything on (bluetooth, GPS etc) and dont even think of checking the battery.....

On checkout the page wont go through, just sits there. Not sure if this is still a live deal

I would advise trying a different browser incase there's an incompatibility with your browser and their website, or try a different item and see if it works ^^

If you want better camera get the Xiaomi mi A1 for £150, not a lot more (I'm quite happy with my redmi note 4 camera tho)

How does this phone compare to say htc 10?

bellboys5 h, 22 m ago

an absolute steal. Heat added.

Bell, do you know if it's possible to add the sd card on the redmi note 4 to the on board storage? So it just shows as one combined storage, not internal and external separately.

Can someone let me know what I need to do to the settings to get the camera to its best settings. I've read it before on numerous threads Mrs only got the phone yesterday so need to know please.

Is that the built-in camera app? I use the Google camera app, so not sure where I stand with the settings of the camera.

Global edition - Gold version 64gb 4gm ram, 160.99 USD which works out at £122.23 on my monzo card. And I went through topcashback for the 3% on mobiles.
Hope I ordered the right one! Im not clued up on this band 20 global edition stuff, seems like is a million ziaomi editions that all look the same to me.

Either way the deal is amazing for the price and specs of this phone, will be interested to see how it compares to my galaxy s6 edge+

as long as you ordered the "global version" you got the right one in regards to software...

however upon clicking your link it doesn't appear to be band 20 which might be an issue for you

I might be wrong, hopefully someone will correct me soon if so

perhaps all "global version" devices support band 20 but your one specifically says band 4, where as the others all say "support band 20"

It does say global, and I found this in the description which I think confirms it has band 20, it says b20:800.....

It's not unusual to have different listings with different prices from the same seller, I guess they hope you find the more expensive one first.

AliExpress is a marketplace, not a store. Those links are from 2 different sellers. One is Xiaomi 'Retail' Store, the other is Xiaomi 'MC' Store. This deal is from Xiaomi 'Online' Store. There are other sellers such as Eternal Team<, HK Goldway< and Fantacy< who also have their own listing for this phone.

Ideally, you'd choose the free shipping option to avoid customs duty but the downside is it can usually take about three weeks. This might be even longer at the mo due to this 11.11 promotion.
