If you have a Xiaomi Air purifier, sooner or later you will need to replace the filter.
I am using mine since January and the filter is still at 56%.
Was looking for an original replacement. Now this deal is around the same price like most of them from China. It says temp out but I ordered last week and is being delivered tomorrow.
I though this would be useful if you need a replacement.
Also, it says the filter has the RFID sticker.

Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Filter - Antibacterial Version - Purple

Highlights

ltra-dense H11-grade HEPA filter and filters up to 99% of PM0.25

Mi Air Purifier uses an ultra-dense Toray PP and PET HEPA filter to trap PM2.5, pollen and other inhalable particles, allowing only clean air to pass through. effectively filtering out 99.% of PM2.5 particles.

360° filtration , 4 layers high-efficient purification

4 layers high-efficient filtration and purification (Primary filter, antimicrobial coating, EPA filter and high-quality activated carbon) The cylindrical shape provides 360° filtration of large floating particles and harmful substances.

Primary filter

It has high flexural strength and is resistant to folding, grease, fats, acids, alkalis and most solvents. The cylindrical shape provides 360° filtration of dust, hair and other larger floating particles.

Antimicrobial coating

it contains organic metal salts of antibacterial agents, which can destroy bacterial cells transport. It help stop the spread of pathogens that can cause disease, which is especially important in a hospital setting where many people already have weakened immune systems.

HEPA filter

HEPA (High-efficiency Particulate Arrestance) is frequently used in hospitals and labs to filter out micron-sized particles. Mi air purifier filter uses an ultra-dense Toray PP to trap PM2.5, PM0.3, pollen and other inhalable particles.

Quality coconut activated carbon

Activated carbon absorbs harmful gases that HEPA is unable to filter. Mi Air Purifier's coconut activated carbon is among the most effective of its kind. It is combined with an anti-formaldehyde formula that effectively absorbs harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, benzene and ammonia, as well as odors and smoke.

Absorbs kinds of odors and harmful substances

Home renovations and other activities may release substances such as formaldehyde, benzene and TVOC, which can cause harm at high densities. Mi Air Purifier's coconut activated carbon filter absorbs hundreds of harmful substances in these situations, keeping your home clean and your family healthy.

Real-time usage monitoring

All filters lose effectiveness over time and must be replaced promptly. Filters not replaced on time may not be able to block harmful substances or may cause secondary contamination. Contrary to what others may advertise, cleaning old filters with water or a vacuum cleaner does not guarantee that the filter will regain its effectiveness. We recommend you change filters every six months or less, depending on your usage. Use the Mi Home app to monitor filter lifespan and receive notification reminders when your filter needs replacing

Or stick a fan on top so it sucks air into the filter then you have a purifier at a fraction of the cost

Doesnt look as pretty and only on/off with no features but as far as hacks go....

Still waiting for the 3H to come in stock and a good price somewhere as I missed out last time

Xiaomi do a couple of different filters don't they? Anyone know how this colour filter compares to the one included with the 2/3H?
Also, looking for an extra cotton layer sheet to protect the purifier. If you seen anything good, dispatched from the UK please share it! Thanks a lot!

Hmm, looks prettier that this:-

You could put a cloth sleeve over the filter to hide it, maybe even add a sleeve made of coarse filter material, even washable perhaps, to prolong the life of the fine filter.

Wonder if you put led's inside if the light would permeate the filter media. Would double as a lamp then

Hi @sisqoboy and folks, what are your opinions on this for allergy sufferers? I'm tempted to buy the dyson version as I'm sick of getting sick due to allergy, but I don't trust if they work as advertised.
Thank you in advance

I know there are work arounds.
But the price of the filter had put me off buying this model when I was in market 2 years or so ago.

I am not too sure how it could help in your case. I have the latest model the 3 and all I can say: it is brilliantly fast and efficient. Cleans the air in the kitchen within minutes, doesn't matter how heavily you burned the oil for that chicken!

Thanks for the response. I'll do more research on that. 🏽
There’s a certain irony that the filter for the knock-off purifier is more expensive than the knock-off filters for the original purifiers...

I use two Philips air purifiers in my place and the filters are nearly £200 for both
So will this not work on the 3H?

Most likely it will work otherwise the RFID sticker wouldn't make too much sense

Ar you blowing air in the wrong direction, in through the centre of the filter?
Edited by: "melted" 7th May
Depends on the polarity i suppose but i guess you would suck in in through the filter then expel it out the top

Ah, it is not yours , yeah, as you say, it would need to suck air in through the filter and expel out the top, for the filter to work properly. Adding a coarser pre-filter would extent the life of the expensive hepa filter.

This is the biggest chaos with Xiaomi products. Yes, Chinese
devices work on Chinese server. Other global products on other servers.

Officially you cannot use everything with the same server however /thanks to @emmpii8 for the Russian hack app link/ you are able to have everything together if you take the possible risk using a not official app.
Does anyone use an air purifier mainly for dust control?. My house seems to generate so much dust for some reason. It would be nice to have something like an air purifier to cut down on dusting.
