Heat for deal, all @MrSwitch deals are instaheat. Personally I'd like to see the pad5 around the £200 mark. Once you add the stylus it creeps into £400 mark and with Bluelight you can often get an Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 for that kind of wonga and that's a better tablet for that money.

I wish there was an 8” version of this tablet.

Lenovo M8 and Samsung A7 Lite aren’t 1080p and I’m debating whether to import an M8 FHD from America…

Logic isn't exactly their thing tbf . This is a company that's trying to sell two completely identical phones (X4 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G) for two very different prices 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

There are no good small tablets. Even that m8 FHD is hopelessly underpowered. I suppose as a basic media consumption device it'll "be ok" but I'd not spend my money on it.

It does make you wonder whether they're being truthful about other phones being "out of stock". Surely they aren't still making new Redmi 9's?

I think in most cases when they go out of stock, it's because the amount they wanted to sell has been met, so still in stock but just met a target, No idea what happens in regards to random ones like the redmi 9 and poco x3 pro i posted a few weeks ago

I know. It would only be for media. I have an iPad Pro but wanted something smaller and lighter and much less expensive to replace. And the Lenovo and Samsung’s have a better aspect ratio. I’ve even considered Fire HD 8 Plus which is the cheapest, I just don’t like the thick bezels.

I had to send mine back ,less than a month old , was good while it lasted but an OTA update was notified as installed ,not sure if it was security or not but that killed all the streaming apps, they hang after a while , netflix even logs you out .
wont work unless you clear all data reboot and log back in , after a while it happens again & again .
seems to be related to DRM as widevine drops from L1 to L3 no solutiongiven by xiaomi as yet

Not for me. The Chinese government and spying is an issue for me. Don't get me wrong, the Chinese phone makers make some great devices but not worth it if your details are at risk of falling into the hands of the Chinese government.
