Wondering exactly the same thing

These are not Alexa or Hue compatible.. Cheap enough if you're happy using the MiHome app to control them

So it's crap lol
You get what you pay for then

Oh, so the 'Smart Philips LED' is not to be confused with Smart Phillips Hue LED bulbs then. Thanks for clarifying

These seem good value amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1

I wouldn't bother, I bought one and it got so hot within 10 mins I didn't trust it not to catch fire. They're LED ffs. They're not supposed to generate heat like incandescents

Good quality bulbs and have light temperature adjust too.
so you can have warm or cold white as well as dimming etc.
only issue for me is that no Alexa... which is a shame as the yeelight ones are.
might need to replace with yeelights now...

Don't bother with these, they are not Philips Hue (which is worth the price), go for Ikea TRÅDFRI if you want to go cheap.

Never Philip's product, always overpriced.

Got one of these, doesn't work with philips hue app so used the MiHome app, had to use Chinese server (well I think it is, its chinese characters so can't tell, but you can use the rest of the app with English language) to get it to work, tried USA server, it finds the device and connects it but you cant do anything with it. You can turn it on and off, change the brightness and yellow/whiteness and also set a timer for it to go off after however long. Haven't tried any other smartbulb but might try a yeelight next time.

Nope, MiHome app is needed
as far as I know Kasa only works with TP-link branded products

Have one of these, really good for the price heated

Not Philips.
Not compatible with most other equipment.

Unfortunately these will only generate heat if they catch fire

No need to be so aggressive
You typed in the item description, and the units aren't Philips...
Isn't very fair that people will be made to waste their money because you incorrectly used a big brand name when writing out the post.

Change your lampholders. I purchased converters and they wouldnt fit properly. Turn off your electricity and change the holder. 2 minute job. Thermoplastic holders only £1.58 at RS components. Link below. Screw type bulbs becoming more and more popular.

They do work with the echo. Really easy to setup. Make sure you use the singapore server otherwise they dont work. Also change the name of the bulb in the yeelight app before you discover the device with alexa. Then you can group multiple bulbs. These are unreal for the money.

why never any deals for B22 socket -.-

This is an important point. Can you verify or give me detail. Thanks

Sie........Change name in Yeelight app to what ? to get them to work with Echo.

Smart lightbulbs, like many other "smart" things, can be a security risk. They can be hacked to gain access to your network.

This article is about Philips but I wouldn't be surprised if a Chinese copy might be just as accessible.

Or you could do what I do and just leave it on 24/7 as being LED it only costs about 2p per day and keeps away burglars.

True or get a timer switch

May clear a few things up

I believe the bulbs tech is Philips but they are not part of the Hue so wont just work off the bat

Wouldn't a wifi lightswitch be better than a bulb?

Word of warning, Gearbest seem to be having issues with shipping right now from their China warehouses at least. Lots of people on here complaining about orders from September and some in August not having yet shipped or arrived. My own order from two weeks ago a is showing as despatched by Gearbest, yet the tracking number from yodel shows that the item is still with the seller and has a status of Delay. Their help system is next to useless. Be wary ordering right now.

MiHome app doesn't work for me, tried iOS and Android and both Singapore and US server, non of them worked. At least I could connected to the light bulb using Singapore server but tapping the app won't open, nothing works. Regret getting this deal now....

Edit: Use mainland China to activate more features! However I'm stuck setting up automation, can't have it on with the hour I wanted...
