I didn't actually realise that Philips had collaborated with Xiaomi to produce products! Seems like a bit of a dream team as far as this type of product is concerned. You'll need to use Code XPBulbs to get the price down.

Brightness ect... can be controlled via the Xiaomi app
I think it's the same app they use for the Yeelight? If so then...

Please NOTE: Change the language setting on your phone to English, and then download the App, it will change the language of the App to English as well

● Adjust the brightness and color temperature through APP control according to your preference.
● Directly download Xiaomi APP from APP store, then you can control your light by it anywhere and anytime.
● According to different situation, four lighting mode is optional. That is high brightness, TV-watching, soft fragrance and night light mode.
● The product can connect with WiFi, easy control the brightness, on and off through your phone.
● Standard E27 lamp, suitable for various types of household lighting fixture.

specification:
● Lamp model: E27
● Product power: 6.5W
● Voltage: 220 - 240V
● Current: 0.1A
● Color temperature: 3000 - 5700k
● Luminous flux: maximum luminous flux of 450Lm

Soft fragrance?

Yes unlike other Chinese stuff that simply bursts into flames, these just softly smoulder.

I got a popup a few days ago about an update to the Mi Home app (i use that for the Xiaomi IP cam i have to check the dog hasnt eaten my kitchen while im out) and i presume the update to that app has done something to the Yeelight connectivity. People on the forums said to disable the skil within Alexa and the re-enable it. That should fix it. So ive done that now, and will try when i get home later. But prior to today, i have tried the 6 times on/off trick, ive unpaired the bulbs and repaid to the yeelight app. Ive tried firmware updates etc and all fine. Hope this works.

Awesome. A future filled with debugging one's home and downloading software updates to try and get room lights to work.

Or we could use wall switches. Let me think ...

Previous stuff they've done
do these work with amazon echo, anyone know please?
works with Hue?
Thanks, ordered. Never used or needed a smart bulb but might as well give it a try for that price.

Hi there do these work with Smarthings now, as I cant see it does form searching the web
Heat added + better value than hive bulbs
The world replacing all its bulbs with 'smart bulbs' is not a smart move. .I've on an environmental basis. I just mean surely it's better that converters not bulbs with this functionality become popular, otherwise it's going to generate an Everest sized mountain of waste. Well almost.

Do you have to install the MiHome Android app for this? If so, which country do you select on initial start up when it says "Select locale"?
A bit off thread, but does anyone have any Yeelight bulbs by Xiaomi? My Alexa stopped working with them this week, but can't find any updates anywhere. Just wondered if anyone else having the same problem.
I am just wondering if it works with Home-Assistant.io the same way as Yeelight does
Has anyone tried it?
How come this bulb comes up when you use the link, but not when you try searching for it on the gearbest website?

+1
These should work with Amazon Echo. The normal Yeelight/Yilight bulbs do. Both colour and white.
Equivalent to a 40w incandescent for anyone wondering
Any idea if they'll work with Hue?

Spain worked fine for me.
good price for an item that rarely goes on sale it seems. thanks OP
If phillips do these for this price, why is a hue bulb £50?
Interested if they work with Hue.....anyone confirm
Philips colour temperature bulbs are £25 not £50. But they are brighter than these bulbs and do a different range of colour temperature. also the Philips bulbs are ZigBee and these seem to be WiFi.

probably won't. doesn't look like these are ZigBee from the specs.

No these are light bulbs!
450lm? That's a bit dim for a room light unfortunately. Anything stronger? Ideally 1055lm that can be dimmed down for when TV watching etc.

These still work with the wall switch so all is not lost. And mine are working fine but I haven't updated anything recently.

The Ikea ones are quite reasonable and 1000lm. Works with smartthings too.

Well allow my sarcasm to cleanly sweep over your non-deal posting little head my little knob of free-loading butter. Enjoy the deals other post because you can't be bothered won't you!
Do you need a hub etc for these to work with echo as never used before or do I just plug them in and away we go?

You need to work on your sarcasm
For anyone following my previous comments and having issues with Alexa and any smart lights, apparentle Alexa did a backend update last week. Most skils are fine, but some lost their "connection" to the relevant skils account. So i had to disable the alexa skil and re-enable it and sign back into my Xioami account. All working perfect again now. So for anyone having issues, try that.
Do you need a hub of some sort to run there?
