I'm confused: are these actually made by Philips and what's the connection to Xiaomi as I thought their lights were yeelights?

Neither are made by Xiaomi, just sold under their brand like most of their non phone 'products'.

Says 'no' for Alexa …Says 'no' for Alexa here:https://www.gearbest.com/smart-lighting/pp_644095/ask.html

Don't know if they work directly with Alexa but have recently been added to Home Assistant so can certainly be controlled by Alexa via that route.
Does this work with IFTTT like the Yeelight?

Currently using the weather underground widget to turn the lights on at sunset, very useful!
Logged in . Applied code but getting message saying "this code does not exist". hmmmm. Bought previously around £1.50 more expensive per bulb. Awaiting delivery. Taking forever lol

Previous posting says can be controlled by Alexa
So is it Alexa controllable or not ?

Having used the 3 yeelight RGBW bulbs I've so far received I don't see the point of white only now Love the colours, sad I know but the white on the colour ones seems brighter than the white only ones anyway...
Thanks OP. Will give em a go

I've got a few of the RGBW ones and only use them on one shade of white but it is a particular shade I picked. These in effect should give me the same colour but they are also a more traditional bulb size/shape, the Yeelight ones are a bit 'hefty' in comparison.

As I don't need anymore, I won't be buying any though
Think I will stick to the OG Philips hue as they both work with alexa and 🍎
