Plus it’s been hanging around this price for a couple months whilst other phones have been on sales and other new releases. How does this phone stack up now to the competition? This space moves fast and would want to make sure this still represents value and hype it was enjoying from a couple months back ...

That £219 price is a third party amazon seller not currently allowed on hukd

It's not all about processors, but only the Moto G 5g plus for me was/is the better phone currently at this price, however that is the 64gb 4gb version of that phone.

The oppo a5 /a9, etc aren't as good as this phone.

Ahh You’re right ... mi store fulfilled by amazon thanks for clarifying man.

Yep I’d defo pay the extra to get it direct from amazon. But regarding earlier question, how does it stack up a couple months on?

Still one of the best budget phones available at this price. Depends what you're comparing it too as well really, what you require in a phone may mean the poco is no good for you.

I got a mi 10 lite during prime day that arrived with the volume buttons fallen out. Otherwise I've been impressed. How does the poco x3 compare? I'm tempted by the refresh rate may buy this and return the other.

The mi 10 Lite is better in certain areas like processor, unsure on how cameras compare in all honesty. But the X3 bar processor looks the superior on oaoaer, faster charging and higher refresh rate, though that still need some tweaking to be perfect, very juddery from my time with it.
I thought the Realme 7 is a good shout at this price level.
Hoping that the Realme7 pro comes down a few pound and i will jump at that.
Any thoughts
I have Realme 6s it's a great smooth phone for less than £170.
I'm assuming the camera on this is a step down from the p20, but maybe the speed and screen are a step up?
I've bought 3 of these so far for work for new starters, I've previously bought Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite's and these are much better ime.

I've paid £199 for two of them and £225 for the last one as I needed it in a hurry.

Only thing missing imo is wireless charging, if they had this then it's be an all rounder.

Hi switchy
I got my son the oppo A9 on prime day and me and the missus were really impressed. We have 2015 phones (iPhone 6) but still going strong. I am going to wait for Black Friday. What should I look for in the 100-200£ range? I like a fast phone and missus watches a lot of dramas on Netflix etc tbh I wish I had gone for the Amazon show gadget on prime day as it can make a video calls (another requirement for the missy) and play dramas as well other organisational features

This (poco) will be reduced I'd imagine.?

Thank you! I think I'll stick with the mi10 for now then. The main thing for me is the refresh rate so if it's juddery then will leave it.

Suppose we can't judge every deal on a deal that was exclusively released for prime day.

But yeah, cracking deal

Poco f2 pro probably.
There are a few other which are a bit more expensive
rev617/10/2020 18:00

F2 Pro had no expandable storage.

And worse battery life than X3.
Is the advertising really that bad on the phone ? No way of flashing to stock

No, the advertising can easily be turned off. But the best thing to do is to unlock the bootloader and flash the xiaomi.eu ROM. All ads disabled and it includes the MI apps that give you more control, like call recording. The ROM is regularly updated. I've rooted mine and installed adaway too, so no ads when browsing the Web.

This?
Poco f2 pro?
Anything recently released?

bargain for such a phone
I was so tempted by the Moto deal, but felt I would be paying for 5G when I don't need it, plus bad experience with carphone warehouse CS, really tempted by the 64gb version (my max is £200) but seen reviews where they say it is a big heavy phone, also seems to have a fair return rate. Torn! Need a decent wide angle camera for work, the Moto camera wasn't well rated, does anyone know how the Poco wide angle camera fares?

It was live for a good day (24 hours) sorry you missed it fella.
Had one since launch, very good for the money, if a little too big for me, I use it as a phablet really but happy all round

The video toolbox is really handy can listen to Iplayer (and other video apps) with out the screen on.

I have kept my sound setting preset on Voice which is just generally a louder and fuller sound to me, it's noticeably louder for sure.

Battery life is great, very strong performance etc.
Looks a great phone ....but

Mind if I ask how the battery life is, and if there's any stutter with the screen as some have reported on here? Thanks in advance.
