I own this phone, and I can happily say that there is no better value for money phone than this. Fantastic screen, unbelievably good battery, super fast, a rather good camera.

I have it as well. No one believes how good the battery is. But seriously it's about twice as good as my Samsung s6 battery was and about 6 times better than any iPhone I've owned.

This phone has official rom. If you flash custom and something doesn't work don't blame the phone for it I guess.

Yup, Xiaomi did issue a patch to support Widevine L1 playback, but it still wont play HD Netflix though.. Think I read something online about Netflix needing to "whitelist" the device for that to work.

Still, had the F1 since almost launch and its still running really well. Slap on Gcam (Google Pixel camera port) and you have a great phone with an excellent camera.

You won't be disappointed.
Is there a warranty and how does this compare to the Moro G7 Power please?
Wow, an extra £120 for the 128GB version...!!!

How do you put the Gcam on this.
Thanks in advance

No tablets on that site. I was thinking of getting a Mipad 4 but not sure now that Huawei M6 has come out.
Are we saying that the warranty is 30 days?!?

Not worth it, buy a fast MicroSDXC card ( Class 10 (3) ) if you need more space.

Easy, enable unsigned apps in settings.

Go to this link .

Download the one in red (as per below). Install the APK and off you go

Configure your settings in the app and you now have a fully functioning google pixel camera on your phone! And.. a night mode that works and doesn't suck!

Have never found sd cards fast enough to compete with having enough emmc onboard, personally, not to mention Android pretty much sucking at managing the split between the two locations, so I'll wait for a phone with the right capacity to come along at the right price.

So why is the 64G version at more than this suddenly a deal?!
COLD, this is so last gen now and it was the same price last year this time.
Bought the 128gb version around Nov last year. Having used it daily since then, I love the phone. OS is regularly updated and from what I hear, will continue to be supported for a good while yet. Phone is still fast as it was when new. It's a good weight/size/screen ratio. Good battery life. Excellent camera.

Negatives: The battery, whilst still pretty good compared to other phones, has deteriorated a fair bit since new. When it was new, I could use the phone for 2 days (moderate use), leaving phone on overnight and still have around 10-20% left at the end of the second night. Now I get about a day and a half under same usage unless I switch it off overnight. Screen isn't the brightest and struggles in bright daylight. The stock OS aggressively closes apps in the background which can be a bit of a pain when you need some to run constantly.

Whilst it is still a good phone, unless there's an urgency, I think I would wait for the K20s to drop in price, or the F2 which is expected to be released soon.
Is this much of an upgrade from my iPhone 7+?

I'm not voting but I've got to say I'm surprised this is getting so much heat. I got the 128gb version for £245 eight months ago.

This doesn't strike me as a particularly great price to be quite honest.

Got to agree with the battery. When I first got it it was absolutely insane and I was easily going two days before needing to a charge with moderate use.

Then they started rolling out updates. They've definitely made the battery worse. It's still very good but it's frustrating knowing how much better it can be.
You can get the Xiaomi mi 9t global from AliExpress for about £240 plus 6% topcashback or from eglobal. The Poco is a year old phone but still an ok price if you really want the Poco.

Netflix works on mine, not sure if its HD though!

Bought through the Mi store it has 2 year warranty, not sure how efficient customer service is though, have read that some people have had a lot of chasing up to get issues sorted, and also read that faulty phones were refunded rather than replaced. Awkward rather than non existent is the conclusion I came to from reading others experiences, haven't had to try it myself thankfully.

Hi, I have a Pixel 2 XL, does the picture quality come close to that with the camera port installed.
Also what's it like for Google updates, like the Pixel gets ? Cheers

I own both of these phones. While the pocophone is amazing value and is very quick it’s still not an iPhone, I still use my 7plus as my go to device and the pocophone as my backup. The battery however depletes massively I’d set it as a wireless hotspot. It was on 90% last night and I haven’t touched it just used it as a wireless hotspot and 10 hours later it’s on 36%. I found it to be ok and last around a day for fairly heavy usage but nowhere near the two days some are quoting.

If you are thinking of getting one (and you should if you can spare the cash) I’d wait 2-3 weeks as they will come down further. Or if you have a bit more cash get the mi mix 5g which blows away most flagship phones for an amazing price.
Worth switching to this from OnePlus 6? Or just wait?

Sure, it uses the same 12MB camera sensor; without OIS. The white balance is still not 100% spot on, but is improving with the modding scene. Updates come thick and fast though and there are loads of people working on it. Superzoom, night mode, slo-mo, timelapse etc all function correctly. Now OIS is supported on 4K video recordings work just fine and is very smooth.

Updates are surprisingly frequent for a lowish budget phone with new updates every couple/few months. Latest patch comes with latest May 2019 Android patch. Also upgrade Android Q coming up.

I don't know for sure if it's the updates that have made the battery worse, or whether it's just a poor quality battery that doesn't hold as much charge as it did when new. But I'm still getting more than a day out of it which is more than can be said for the Smart Ultra 6 I had before (had to charge twice a day).

I think it's the updates. I got an update and the screen on time depleted horrifically. Since then I've gotten further updates and the battery life has gotten closer to it's former glory.

There's been quite a few people mentioning it on the pocophone subreddit. But still, the battery life was phenomenal when I first got it. Maybe it will get back to that level one day.
Got this as my work phone and have to say its excellent. Never going for a branded phone again.
The battery on my poco now lasts just a few hours.ive had if for a year now. That's the only negative about this phone.

If you have "adaptive battery" on that apparently really messes it up. The common consensus is to turn it off. Battery normally lasts a little longer then.

Also sometimes it's worth a total format of your phone to get rid of any apps you might have downloaded that hit the battery hard and start again, downloading only what you need.
Is the delivery fast ?

Presume that's with with extreme heavy useage?
Mine lasts at least a day without approaching 20% capacity remaining.
Sounds like you have a faulty/failed unit.

Basically, not even close. You'll be needing to spending double this to get something significantly better than the OnePlus 6.
