Any issues with UK bank apps on Xiaomi?
No, I use Lloyds/Halifax/NatWest/Starling/Monzo and no issues.

    Deal good. Carphone Warehouse bad.
Same price at Currys not that they are much better

Guy in Currys literally just said this phone was not great at all, it's the sort of phone you'd buy as a first phone for a youngster, or for a grandparent.

They never had any in stock, buy it put me off, even at 99.

Was only for the other half, s8 died, shes not bothered with fancy devices either.
First mistake is listening to some guy in Currys

This or honour 6x at 120
Processor in Xiaomi absolutely destroys Honor X6 in terms of performance. You would notice the difference when opening apps or camera. If you don't mind the MIUi interface I'd go for Xiaomi out if the 2. Honor doesn't have any real advantages despite being dearer.

From a physical shop, that's actually quite cheap. :-)

And for an Xiaomi too ...
Indeed, a lot of us have forgotten that experience of buying from a physical shop. I have recently started doing that more.

This should get EXTREMELY HOT. Okay, it's 4G only capable phone but for £89/£99 it's absolutely no brainer with decent specifications for the price which I copy here once again :
    • 6.71-inch display
    • 50MP main camera
    • 5MP selfie camera
    • 5000mAh battery
    • Fingerprint scanner
    • Snapdragon 680 processor

720p display and rubbish viewing angles....other than that yeah, it is a good price. But looking at that screen every time is pain in the ass I believe...

Can anyone enlighten me as to why there has been a distinct lack of deals directly from Xiaomi/Poco recently?
I agree, its seems to have gone from a deal or 2 a week to virtually nothing for ages now ?

Mostly amazed that car phone warehouse actually have a deal
Maybe not now, but they once used to though. :-D

Remember those mobile phone contract cashback deal's, from back in the Day?

When, IF you got an 12 Month phone contact, then you got 6 Month's back?

And/or, IF you got an 18 Month's phone contact, then you got back 12 Month's instead?

That was when a deal, was a 'DEAL', huh? :-D

I can't tell you the amount of such, I used to smash out!, and went on to recommend doing such, to some family and friend's, around about those points in time too.

Yes, those were the 'deals'. :-)

Most thing's after that point in time, has proved itself to be a figurative mixed bag affair in comparison ...

Of which some deals were more blinding eye openers, than that of some others, etc, I guess?

But, for what it is, the phone's price is reasonable. :-)

I bought this 2 months ago from Carphonewarehouse (£10 TCB takes 6 months, btw). Screen is fine and reasonable fast cpu for sicial media, so no problem there but you need to think about the MIUI interface which is a pain and decide if you really want to live with that. I wont buy a Xiaomi again in future because I want android as pure as it gets.
I really don't get this myself. I've had pure android and miui really doesn't bother me. Apart from the adverts of course

The note 10 I assume is better specs is 109 on mi app if anyone prefers that (edited)
Not necessarily better I'd say. Detailed comparison provided by Nanoreview and their summary is "If the display, camera, and sound are more important to you, then choose the Xiaomi Redmi 10. But if the performance is more of a priority – go for the Xiaomi Redmi 10c"

Blue is OOS. Grey still in stock but note that it sends you to a broken link when you select grey. To correct it, just remove the dash (-) from before xiaomi in the address bar.

How many years left for security updates ?
March 2022 phone but it's a cheap Redmi so expect shorter support period.

It's on the list to get MIUI 14 update (Android 13)

Security update period I haven't found anything concrete, and I don't expect to as Xiaomi's business model is sell em cheap support them less, make em buy a new one next year. So flagship and upper midrange phones get reasonable support, lower priced stuff you get shafted for updates. (edited)

Is this the potato 3GB RAM version or the better 4GB RAM version?
    Copied from Currys website:
    "RAM 4 GB". (edited)

There's no deal for under £100 on top cashback. Did you add something to take it over?
